Description: The typical vain prince charming. He use to be the Viscount of Belaros, except he lost his title (and his life) when the regime was overthrow. Cy likes (not loves) Choochi because they both think that he is the most handsome guy in the world. Keeps a special room filled with just portraits of himself. With the exception of Choochi, Sage and Dragoon, no one can stand being around him for more than 5 minutes.
As the story goes, whoever figures out how the landlady of Nowhere Manor died becomes the new owner of Nowhere Manor. The queen, eager to get her hands on "the secret to everlasting youth", sent Cykeros to solve the mystery. (In reality, there is no secret; The Doctor just spread the rumor to get more funding for his experiments.) When he got there, he found Choochi, who absolutely adores him but refuses to answer any of his questions directly. He spent months hunting for clues, question the residents, and avoiding "the vengeful spirit" that also lives in the house. Eventually, he brings Choochi back to life when he figured out that she was "the moron who couldn't read the sign by the lake and fell in fifty years ago".

Description: Number 1 of the five ArchAngels and the leader of the pack. Unlike his brothers, he didn't change his name (Kronos) because it failed to bring terror to the hearts of nobles; he did to hide the fact that he's the emperor's nephew. Kronos is the only ArchAngel who is a fugitive in both of his identities; he murdered his family when they started a secret society bent on overthrowing the emperor. He is the master of poison, and therefore, cannot be poisoned. Outside of battle, he is a scholarly man, and well respected by the peasants. As the oldest of The ArchAngels, he treats his brothers like sons, earning him the nickname "Dad" from the younger three brothers. His favorite food is peanuts, which Blue uses to her advantage to get out of cooking. Lucifel is a widower; wife died of natural causes.
At the end of the story, he is the only survivor of the ArchAngels, and goes on to become the emperor's general.

Description: Number 2 of the five ArchAngels, a band of mercenaries intent on overthrowing the corrupt nobles. Like his brothers, his actual name (Rudolph) failed to bring terror to the hearts of nobles, so he renamed himself to get the job done. Uriel is very cautious and calculating, often seen planting mines ahead of time in case of emergencies. He has the ability to burrow through the ground, and carries enough gunpowder on him to blow up an entire palace. That being said, he also has explosives implanted inside his chest, in case the group gets stuck in a life-or-death situation and someone has to take one for the team. Unlike his brothers, he loves tea, and doesn't drink. The younger brothers to call him "Mom" because of he becomes more effeminate when sarcastic.
Uriel is the first to die at the end of the story. He blew himself up during a surprise assault to save his brothers and Blue. His skull was later found by the surviving nobles and hung on their wall as a trophy.

Michael is the group blacksmith and muscleman, which gives him an advantage in disguising himself as a dirty peasant, but wears on his luck with the ladies. Michael trained under an old master of fire, and therefore can breath and wield fire. He is laid back, loves to laugh, and best friends with Gabriel and Becca. He's not very smart, and lacks refinement, but his kind heart wins over the affection of others. He enjoys all meats, wine, and harassing Uriel about his fondness for tea.
Michael is the fourth to die at the end of the story. He held a falling gate over his shoulders while Raphael and Lucifel escaped. He was then stabbed through the stomach and crushed by the gate.

Description: Number 4 of the five ArchAngels. Like his brothers, his actual name (Marco) failed to bring terror to the hearts of nobles, so he renamed himself to get the job done. Tall and gaunt, Gabriel is master of water. He literally melts into water, and summons it as a shield when necessary. He's highly sarcastic (which he uses mostly to tease Michael.) Gabriel knows all the secrets in the group, including Lucifel's true identity and Uriel's last-resort bomb (no one ever tells him; he just happens to walk in on them). He was once engaged to a prostitute but the girl died before their wedding. He enjoys wine, tea, and is usually the first to point out that Blue served peanuts for dinner again.
Gabriel is the third to die at the end of the story. He'd set a trap in the pond of the noble headquarters, but was caught and beheaded because he didn't have the heart tot kill the young maidservants as casualties.

Description: Number 5a of the five ArchAngels and the biological twin brother of Blue. Like his brothers, his actual name (Bernard) failed to bring terror to the hearts of nobles, so he renamed himself to get the job done. Raphael is very charming but superficial, often seen making small talk with countryside maidens. He inherited his father mastery of wind, and therefore, can fly. This he uses to his advantage both in fights and romancing the ladies. As the youngest and best-looking of The ArchAngels, he's the least responsible to the cause, which often leads to him being tricked or hurt. He enjoys carrots, peanuts, wine, and hopes someday to settle down and have a family.
Raphael was the fifth and last to die at the end of the story. He fought the leader of the rebelling nobles in a one-on-one sword fight, won, then died right after from loss of blood.

Description: Number 5b of the five ArchAngels and the biological twin sister of Raphael. Unlike the men, Blue uses her real name, though take great pains to avoid her middle name (Mu, pronounced "mooooo"; their dad had a sense of humor). Her primary job is scout for the team (officially) and to house-keep for the guys (unofficially). Blue is a lazy (and bad) cook, so she usually serves everyone peanuts to get out of making dinner. She likes to drink, hates tea, and has a habit of robbing rich people on the streets (Usually, Lucifel or Uriel makes her give it back).
Blue is the second to die at the end of the story. She snuck into the nobles' headquarters in an attempt to steal back what was left of Uriel. She successfully escaped with his remains, buried it by a cliff, then was shot by arrows and throw off said cliff.

Preferences/ Relationship with the others: Uriel (really likes him) > Becca (little sister) > Lucifel (clan leader) > Raphael (brother; womanizer) > Michael (simple-minded) > Gabriel (complains too much)

Description: The medicine man... er... woman of the ArchAngels, and the biological little sister of Raphael and Blue. At a young age, Becca spent her time caring for villagers while her siblings fought sword to sword over who gets the last slice of pie. Becca is usually the first to point out the obvious flaws of a group, and the first to voice her opinion of someone they'd just met. Though Raphael is her biological brother, Becca is closest to Gabriel (being the shortest person in the group, she naturally prefers the company of the tallest person in the group.)
Before the final mission, Becca marries the emperor's second cousin, Julian. (She claims he is manlier than her brother-in-law, less whiny than her biological brother, and more handsome than the two combined.) They have 1 son together, and also adopt Becca's niece and nephew. Together with Lucifel, Becca builds a memorial to the rest of the ArchAngels and chronicles their story for the history books.

Description: Rudolph (Uriel) and Blue's kid, Marcel is the older twin brother of Natia. As their parents are dead, Marcel and his sister live in the palace with their aunt Rebecca and trains under her husband Julian. Marcel inherited his mother's swords, but unlike Blue, he has good aim and so only carries around one at a time. Ironically, he takes after neither one of his parents, but rather his late uncle Bernard (Raphael). This is reflected in both his love for women and streaked hair.
Unlike Natia, Marcel cares little about his heritage. He's bitter at his dad for blowing himself up to save the other Archangels, then at his mom for not staying saved. As a result, Marcel lives the carefree life, determined not to mind anyone else's business but his own. This sometimes leads him to skip training to play with the ladies, which results in Becca chasing him with some form of blunt object.

Description: Rudolph (Uriel) and Blue's kid, Natia is the younger twin sister of Marcel. She is one of the few female knights that serve the emperor. Natia isn't as naturally talented as her brother, but she trains hard under her uncles Julian and Kronos. She inherited her father's chained claws, which she considers her prize possession. Appearance-wise, Natia is almost an exact female duplicate of Uriel, down to manners and speech patterns. She is fairly serious, prefers tea to liquor (unlike her brother and late mother), and what she lacks in strength she makes up for by thinking up convoluted plans.
Natia is extremely proud of her heritage. She enjoys hanging around Kronos and listening to stories about the Archangels. Despite never having met him, Natia knows all of her father's favorite sayings by heart, and sometimes day-dream about sword fighting with him and her mom. Natia thinks her parents' sacrifices were noble (albeit gory). Unlike Marcel, Natia dislikes being idle, and is rarely seen in the company of other women.

Lico and Jennet: lots of money... no brain

Quote: "Tonight Madam, you are divine."

Description: Lico was a street fiddler back in 1847. He didn't have any talent, his clothes were too big, and upper class ladies cringed at the sight of him on their street. On New Years Eve, Lico went into a bar and got shot by some lady's husband who mistook him for "the other guy". (The actual other guy got away and married the lady after the husband was arrested. This is a lesson on karma.) His body was dumped down a well, but so were the local mad scientist's chemicals. As a result, Lico woke up 20 years later with a head full of white hair and a broken violin.

Through the decades, Lico made a name for himself. Now, instead of lifting up their skirts, wealthy women flock to him like pigeons. Lico doesn't mind older women, but past experience keeps him from socializing with married ones. As much as he likes women, Lico has bad luck. When he falls in love with a girl, she ends up dead within the year. This makes him prone to shooting things with his pistol -- mirrors, doors, potted plants, occasionally himself -- but since he can't die via gunshot, it just leaves a mess for someone else to clean up.

Lico is forgetful to the point that he can't remember his real name. He hired a girl named Jennet to keep track of his affairs. (This includes getting him out of unwanted engagements.) At all times, Jennet keeps on her a pistol, a syringe and a pouch of water from the original well, because Lico's reputation has earned him many enemies (rival musicians, former managers, spurned ladies, angry relatives of spurned ladies...and occasionally, himself) and he tends to stop responding after losing too much blood (normally a result of getting shot; the syringe and the well water are for waking him up).

Description: Money greedy. She knows about Lico being technically an old man, but that's none of her concern. Jennet does not like Lico romantically, but she will pretend to in order to save his butt when he accidentally gets engaged or married. (He has to pay her extra afterwards.) She gives good advice, but Lico never listens, and tapes him to the ceiling when he tries to shoot himself.

Jennet doesn't like Dr. Siegfried, and initially didn't like Julius. This, however, fades with time, and she eventually learns to care about the guy. Still, as Julius doesn't pay her salary, Jennet puts Lico has her first priority and Julius as "puppy that fetches".

Description: Julius is the royal cellist, and the only royal musician in the land. His father was a friend of Dr. Siegfried, so Julius grew up watching the doctor's research. When he discovered that Lico was the missing piece, he trapped the violinist and brought him back to the doctor. Jennet managed to save Lico, but not before stabbing Julius in the chest. With two unconscious men at her feet and the king's men approaching, Jennet had no choice but to take Julius with her.

Despite their meeting, Julius is fond of Jennet. This resulted from a combination of gratefulness for not leaving him to die, and respect for her ability to save Lico's worthless butt. While Julius doesn't like Lico, he's not above helping out occasionally. While not as good of a musician as Lico, Julius is smarter, craftier, and a better swordsman than the violinist. (In other words... he's manlier)

Description: Hell knows no man like Sergeant George Chapman, at least not when it comes to wandering spirits. But when a group of expected new arrivals disappear on their way to the afterlife, Satan (to George, "the S-man" ) sends George to find the missing ghosts. There in the living world, George assumes the code name "Kero" and teams up with a local spirit medium Claudia. So far, she knows nothing about him... except that he looks good in a collared shirt.
Kero is fond of Claudia (not that he's willing to tell her) but not so much of Kathleen or Claudia's dog Wolfgang (the latter being inclined to do Kathleen's bidding and treat Kero as a chew toy.) While Kero lectures Claudia how to catch ghosts, she eventually teaches him how to be human again.

Description: Claudia's dog Wolfgang got run over by a car when she was eight. Shortly after, his ghost came back and continued sleeping at the end of Claudia's bed. For ten years, Claudia served as a liaison between the living and the dead, until a man called "Kero" showed up one night, asking for help. Claudia is practical, sensible girl, unperturbed by Kero's constant frown, and always available with a pin for his inflated head. She channels more raw power than Kero does, but is not as clever as he is. Claudia is fond of Kero (she lets him crash on her couch), but that doesn't stop her from prying into his past, his family, and why he's permanently stuck in Limbo.
Claudia is close to Kathleen, though a little jealous of her good looks. While she won't say it out loud, Claudia is glad that Kero and Kathleen aren't really friends. However, Claudia is good friends with Blake (they fish together) and sees him as an older brother.

Description: Kathleen is Claudia's slightly-older cousin, and a retired spirit medium. Like Claudia, she once actively helped ghosts cross over to the other side, but lost interest after her boy Blake was sentenced to hell for "crimes against humanity" (he shot and killed a guy in a duel.) Unbeknownst to both "the S-man" and "the big guy upstairs", Kathleen hides Blake in her house, so when Kero-the-unwanted-ghost-police shows up, it's all Kathleen could do to not send Kero back to Limbo.
Much to Kathleen's annoyance, she and Kero are a lot alike in both thoughts and manners. This leads to a begrudging mutual respect, and a great deal of insults.

Description: The son of an former plantation owner, Blake met Kathleen when she was fourteen. Her parents moved into the house he was haunting, and she, being a medium, kicked him out of his original room and into the attic. Blake eventually charmed his way back into the rest of the house, only to be captured by the ghost police and sentenced to eternity in Hell. (He killed a man in a duel when he was alive... that guy slept with Blake's sister).
Blake asked Kathleen to marry him after she snuck him out of Limbo, but ghosts can't officially marry. This brings further problems when Kero shows up and tries to drag Blake back to Limbo with him.
After hearing Blake's story, Kero agrees to let him go for the time being on the condition that Kathleen helps with the missing-ghosts investigation. Unfortunately, this does not stop the nosy-spirit-police from lecturing Blake on why ghosts don't belong in the living world.
Blake is a generally friendly guy, to all those who can see him anyways. He knows Claudia is a little jealous of Kathleen, and will be the first to agree with Kero about spirit matters. However, he is obsessive-possessive about keeping Kathleen for himself, and so secretly sabotages Kero's plans to prevent him from ending the case.

Traits: Is serious (like his name says). Has been with Trainer since he was a Cyndaquil. Was peppy back then. Is now a Tyflosion, and knows Thunderpunch (Trainer wanted to mess with the water pokemon trainers). Is also the self-proclaimed leader of the pokemon team. Argues with Styx about who gets to be first.

Traits:Makes up for all the smiling Sirius doesn't do. Was caught because Trainer to catch something that can learn surf. Is/was/and always will be peppy. Does not mind Sirius as leader. Does mind Sirius in general ~ <3 .

Lyle: (kadabra)
Traits:Trainer bought him as an Abra from the Coin Shop because she sucked at catching teleporting pokemon, then rush-trained him into a Kadabra. Tolerates Trainer; dislikes all of his teammates (too noisy). Prefers to work alone and one-hit KOs in battle, but gets knocked out easily. (Trainer's fault for putting him on the front line.) Usually gets his way because Trainer loves him best. Harrassed by Tick-Tock.

Tick-Tock: (Haunter)
Traits:Makes everybody angry. Trainer thought Tick-Tock might brighten up her team a bit. Instead, Tick-Tock just eats their food and licks their face. She is useful in battle, especially after learning destiny-bond. Tick-Tock also likes to flirt with Sirius to annoy Corn; she manages to annoy both. Is actually found of Lyle, but makes a point to hide it until he gets over sickly pretty-boy routine.

Styx: (Gyarados)
Traits: Was a Magikarp that no one liked. Now is a Gyarados that no one likes. Styx has a bad temper and overreacts by thrashing at opponents (sometimes opponents sail off too far and Trainer has to pay other trainers for damages). Styx and Sirius get in long fights about absolutely nothing.
