Sketch - messy, detailed sketches. If you want some color, I'll try to pick one color that is seen throughout your avatar, and bring it out -- check the sample image to see what I mean.

CG - inked, colored, and shaded. Not as much effort goes into these as does a full painting.

Speedpaint - just like full paintings, but much less time consuming. Less detailing and blending go into these.

Full painting - full digital paintings. I use no lineart/outline for these, and therefore use much more value, detail, and blending than a CG or sketched painting. These are the most time-consuming, so be prepared to wait a long time for your commission to be finished!
