Bzzzzt The elevator door opened to a brightly lit corridor, letting a lone passenger aboard before closing again. A tall male leaned his slim figure against the back wall of the space and combed one hand through his head of neat chestnut hair. As he did so, a slow sigh escaped his lips. Lights from each floor the lift car passed winked through vacancies in its design and played on the sharp facial features of Jey Jones.
The car came to a stop at the skyscraper's ground floor and released its prisoner, who then made a beeline for the door.
Once outside, Jey could feel the significant difference between the cool, fresh, filtered air of the indoors as opposed to the heavy, almost slimy atmosphere outside. The copper building he had just left behind him winked in what little daylight could break through the thick clouds overhead. Its rust colored hue matched just about everything around nowadays, like an unhealthy trend.
His destination at this moment was the hospital, where a certain subject of interest for a certain project of interest awaited his overlooking, only, Jey wasn't so concerned with the well being of the oh-so-important patient as he was with a certain female doctor wielding an impressive PhD as well as formidably good looks. With a playful bounce in his step, the brunette slid effortlessly into the seat of his vehicle of choice: a sleek looking, state of the art, cutting edge, two-seater motorcycle, complete with a steely gray finish. He smirked at the looks certain passerby sent his way and slapped on his riding goggles.
A couple of blocks later, Jey arrived at his point B. It hadn't been a long ride at all, a couple of minutes tops, but all of the impressed stares he had earned was worth it in his egotistical mind. Upon entrance into the place, he pulled the leather gloves off his hands and rested his weight non-nonchalantly on the counter. The nurse knew him by now, surely, after all, who could forget the dashing face of Jey Jones, Heir to the Science Throne?
"Ula, sweetcakes, you know what I'm here for. Do I really need to sign that log of yours?"
His voice drawled out as he gave the timid counter girl a feigned plead.
"Uh...um...Mr.Jones, sir, it's protocol.."
She pushed the log book towards him and shrank back.
"Ah, and here I was hoping I could get away with something other than murder."
He teased. And with that, he scrawled his name into the book, leaving Ula with a wink and a wave.
Upstairs, Jey stood outside the room of a comatose patient. He would not be found dead in a place like this if not for his father's word. The robed doctor inside didn't seem to be doing anything of great importance when the tall young man let himself in. Just as he opened the door, the female standing over her patient appeared to jump back the slightest.
"Whoa, hey, sorry, Huntley. Didn't mean to amaze you that much with my striking presence."
This followed by a chuckle announced to Dr.Etheya Huntley that he had arrived.
