I post in the Couples/Birthday Art thread in March and July every year, as hubby's birthday is early April, and mine is early August.

Yulia is in her mid twenties. She's an anti-sicial shut in who spends most of her time at home, doing things like gaming or reading. She wears a lot of "casual" clothes (such as avatars I've made!) Feel free to give her random plush, books, or game consoles (she has a pink 3DS) for accessories!
I'm on the hunt for hair that will match her messy bun when she has it down. :3 Let me know if you have any ideas!
I don't bring out my ghostly killer mermaid often, but Spazzey did a phenomenal job drawing her! I love how spooky and transparent she is. This is probably one of my favorite monster avatar designs, ngl.

Forest Witch:
To be honest I made this avatar for my nephew, who loves frogs.
The cute little idea is the forest elf witch Ambee was lonely, and she came across a talkative, equally lonely frog. She began to travel with him, and the more they talked, the more she realized how many personalities her little frog companion had, the more she wanted to hear them. So she gave each personality of his a voice, a color, and now she can talk to all of them, giggling as they converse with one another, watching them play and roll about on her wanderings through her forest.
My nephew added this from the frog's point of view:
"I had met a most curious elf in the forest. Having had no one else to chat with, I followed and travelled with that witch in beautiful colors. And as we talked for a while, she began to grant me beautiful colors of my own, shades I had never even imagined before. Those shades grew into a beautiful kaleidoscope, allowing me to forget my original color. Yes... I... am now... a most joyous frog."

This is as close to "me" as I can get, and I love books, pastel pinks, and nature, so this avatar is totally "me"!

Luci Steele:
It was always about survival for Luci. She had no memories of when her planet was still used for mining purposes, when people worked in small cities around the biggest ore deposits, gathering something which was sold for great profit and progress. She didn't know the luxuries many miners came home to. The woman only knew the aftermath of what being an abandoned planet truly meant. The way that people were out for themselves, always seeking to do that one job which would set them up for life. No job like that existed.
Sometimes a ship crashed into the planet's surface and drew scavengers, raiders, or hopeful people looking for important items. Anyone who lived through the crash found themselves at a severe disadvantage of not being born into the survivalist culture.
Luci is smart, she's good with making bombs. She adores her shrapnel bombs in particular and watching the faces of people as they realize they are not going to live as it explodes. Their expressions of surprise and anguish causes her to grin in a disturbingly calm way. She's known on the planet as the Bomb Maker. Listen, the people of this planet are not highly educated, they wouldn't know what an Engineer was if it talked to them for three hours about schematics for a philosophical, not functional, design.
Along with making her bombs, Luci is a nomad. She doesn't have a city she belongs to, no home or sector she affiliates with specifically. She is a neutral party, able to be hired out, for the right price, to do a job. She might take a job if it's interesting, but usually the gigs are all the same; escort someone's precious family member from one place to another, drop off a super rare part to the people making technology from the latest crashed ship work again so some of them can get off of this dead, decaying planet, or go kill so and so.
The life of a nomadic mercenary who specializes in making bombs is the perfect life for Luci. She'll keep on doing what she does, making enough dosh to live as she pleases, until the gods below decide she's had enough and they reclaim her for themselves. After all, everyone on the old mining planet knows the gods live in the deepest bowels of the furthest mines that no one can reach anymore.

Halloween Triplets:
Punk is the oldest of the three triplets, however she isn't sure whether she has a twin, or two twins. She and Gothe were born at the same time, however it seems that there's a third, one paler than herself, with stirrings of animation and life in her. She dresses in the same clothes Goth, whose attire is similar to Punk's, but the mirror-girl always wears pink and white. While Punk and Goth no longer live together, they meet up often and if there's a mirror around, there is the third of the Halloween Triplets, there to join in on the fun as much as she can.

Goth is a typical Halloween fanatic. She loves Autumn, thinks the Grim Reaper would make a fantastic boyfriend, loves bats, and the Cheshire Cat's Grin (the moon). She wears a lot of black and orange, has two white birthmarks under her right eye, and usually loves reading ghost stories. But sometimes, when she looks in the mirror...

Rococo is there behind her. Perhaps she was once a spirit who lived in the house Goth lives in now? She seems to be fond of the mirror and anything old, silver, and pale in hue. Sometimes she can be glimpsed out of the corner of Goth's eye, but every time she turns, Rococo is no where to be found.
The two seem to be walking down similar paths, at any rate, although they can't communicate and only seem to be able to see one another in a mirror usually. Goth often tells her twin sister Punk about the girl she calls Rococo, and Punk wonders if the girl in the mirror isn't a lost sister of theirs.

What is the best color combination? For me, it is pink, gray, and white, and I do so much in it!!
This is my beautiful idea for a... ..a thing. She's a witch, she likes skulls, she's got deer antlers attached to the ribbon on her hat (I think they'd look better tucked in to be honest), she has a weird top, a flowy skirt bottom, cute boots, gloves.. She has pink eyes, gray cheeks (because why not) And of course her background is a night scene.
I love her. I want so much art of this cute mishmash of everything. I'm probably going to be working on more pink/gray/white avatars, so if anyone has items which fit this color scheme, let me know so I can find them on the marketplace!!
Also if there is a specific name for this color scheme on Gaia, please let me know!

The rebellious shy punk, who doesn't want people to see her eyes, never really talks, and is always embarrassed, but happy when people are nice! Outwardly flashy, internally panicking, but always trying to be nice and treat people well, this angelic little rebel is just a mess of ideas, emotions, and oxymoron buzzwords!

I'm imagining her ears are light pink stainless steel elf accents, she has a little circlet, and she loves to read. A high-low dress under a vest or corset.. hmm.. She's odd. Kind of a weird angel-inspired cutie.

And yes, she is translucent because of the imaginary friend skin! That is purposeful!

Just a random Trick or Treat avatar I thought was super cute. I haven't quite thought of a background for her yet!
Myrmede:
Myrmede is a creature which does not know what the sun is. She lives so deep within the ocean's depths that her scales are translucent, her bones are visible beneath the skin, and her eyes, having proven useless, do not have irises, pupils, or anything else which might make this monster appear somewhat normal.
Myrmede likes to tease submarines and is known as a ghost. There are bony covers over her skin where her ribs should be, acting as armor in case she gets attacked. Her ghostly appearance and half human, half fish form has led anyone who sees her to believe that she is the angry spirit of a woman who drowned and was devoured by creatures of the sea. She wears what seems to be a glowing crown of spidery-thin coral upon her head, although all this does is make the rumors of ghosts more prominent with her...
The strange deep sea dwelling creature likes to find her way into nets and exploring tanks, to be photographed briefly passing by a submarine's window, before she's lost in the darkness once more. And when it is possible, her ravenous appetite for human flesh is impossible to sate. Anyone who tries to touch Myrmede might find out her teeth are sharper than they appear, and she is no ghost, she can truly tear fingers and hands off anyone who gets too near.
Sona:
Shae and Faux (pronounced "fox" on purpose) are sorta-sona's for my IRL hubby and I. We use the ears and tails to keep any art from looking too close to human as to avoid the Uncanny Valley effect, and we aren't trying to make avatars that look exactly like us. He gave his stamp of approval for Faux (although he wishes that the hair looked less fluffy) and they're just cute avatars for doodling.

Shae doesn't exactly know her origins. It is believed her ears and tail are of the Maine Coon variety; fluffy and requiring much brushing on the daily, but the orange, almost tabby-like markings confuse the woman. She isn't sure who her family is as she was raised by a sweet goat-mixed bookstore owner who had lost his wife to Cancer a year or two before. He found the baby with the unusual tail and ears in a box on a rainy day while he was starting to open shop. He had so many books on parenting and raising children in the shop that he simply raised her as his own.
Shae grew up loving reading, fell in love a million times with characters from the books she read, and developed quite the attachment to grumpy, quiet, older men. Her favorite is Severus Snape from the Harry Potter series, and she was given a crocheted doll of him when she was sixteen, which she hugs any time she feels a bit lost and insecure. She has a wildly vivid imagination and can talk for hours about stories she wants to write, yet her shyness and anxiety makes it hard for her to approach anyone.
The woman has a few friends now that she is an adult. She wears a lot of loose hoodies to hide her chubby body, long tank tops, and shorts which are usually hidden by the tank tops. When she absolutely must wear shoes, she puts on flip flops, however she hates to wear shoes at all and prefers to wander her father's store in the long hoodies and loose, flowing tops.
On her eighteenth birthday, Shae went to the tattoo parlor in town and got a tattoo of a mandala with watercolor flowers extending from above and below it down her left hip and thigh. Still working at the book store and helping her father out, Shae is content to stay where she is in life, daydreaming, writing stories of her own, but too nervous to share them with anyone. Her crocheted Snape doll is usually nearby, sometimes behind the counter where she can hug him if she's having a low day, always in bed within reach if she has a bad dream.
She will probably never grow up and continue to believe in the magic of the world and all its possibilities, staying childish and naรฏve. This does not mean she is not intelligent or mature, she manages the shop for her father and handles most of the taxes for him every year. Shae just has no reason to give up her childish dreams and hopes.
Bellamire:
I miss TinierMe. I joined just after it launched (so I had a head penguin) and stayed until it finally perished. I had an avatar in the beginning whose looks stuck with me, even after everything else came out. In the end, her old clothes are some of my favorites.
This is Bellamire (Bella "beautiful" and Mire "bog or swampy area, marshlands" ) my beautiful, confused gal with bangs that are too short and eyes which are too big. She has a little penguin she creatively named "Pengu". She loves her books and hoodies, and has a silver locket which was given to her by a friend before she started her grand adventure out into the world.
Purikura:
I love 90's anime girls, specifically in styles like Super Gals, with the long limbs, tiny skirts, big eyes, and the humorous slice of life style. So. I made one. This gal likes Purikura, looking for the perfect boyfriend, and stars symbols!
Just a magical angelic transformation. Lots of sparkles and a heart crystal to help her transform with her love for her fellow angelics!
Faith-chan is an angel who has many problems similar to her fellow angelics; she has a crush on her teacher, she isn't good at any sports, and she has no qualities which make her stand out. Unlike other angels though, Faith-chan has an abundance of adoration for her fellow angelics, and she is chosen because of her pure pink heart's glow to become the new Magical Gatekeeper Angel! This pretty much means she has a part time job chasing off demons or guiding humans who wander into the angelic territory back to Earth.
Faith-chan uses her magic key she was bestowed and goes through a transformation to unlock her powers. While she's transformed, she is given the ability to fly (instead of the decorative wings all normal angelics have) and a staff which can do.. things! She'll figure it out one day. Honestly, her biggest problem right now is that her sensei saw her transformed and he has a crush on the Magical Gatekeeper Angel, but he doesn't know that she's actually just Faith-chan, the sleepy angelic who's always dozing off in his class!
Interestingly enough, Faith-chan's teacher looks kind of similar to the Devil King, the person responsible for all the demons invading Cloudland. But that's insane to think about, just a weird coincidence. Just like her tiny crush on the mean devil. Insane and weird, it'll fade with time.

Feeeeeelt. My mood has been so negative due to the hurricane weather that my poor hubby has been constantly near me and that only made me more annoyed. TT ^TT; It's not his fault, the storms were just. Ugh.
