We all have our strengths and such--- people, anthros, wolves, mecha, might be awesome at shading, God of Folds, whatever. But what can you /not/ draw to save your life? Suck at colouring? Etcetera. I thought it would be interesting to hear.

I myself can't draw anything non-organic lined, like cars and mecha. For buildings I rely heavily on rulers. sweatdrop And I'm very iffy about shading and folds, which I /NEED/ to work on, god help me.

So, what is your artistic weakness?

People. I have a strange mental block against drawing people, it's rather annoying. And backgrounds... I can only do a limited number of scenes so most of my images tend to take place outdoors in a hilly area with lits of rocks. sweatdrop crying Mecha... I tend to draw anthros in olden days, before there was such...

I can't draw animals for the life of me. I can draw a basic sketch, yes, but i can never make fur look right. I end up making the animal look like it was shaved.

the hardest thing for me is making a face on a person look proportionate. I'm improving. I can do it on Anime cartoons... but not on like an actual portrate.

I suffer from the acursed hands dilemma. I can draw them in static positions, as well as a fist clutched around something, but it takes serious, serious effort as well as a reference model to get any other pose right though.

I have a folder full of pictures of hands for reference. It's kind of sad really.

I have always been creative and with that I taught myself to me artistic. I am a very good conceptual artist. I do collages, photograhphy and acrlic and oil paintings. I do alot of mixed media and found art projects too. I always struggled with contemporary projects but I'm getting better as I keep working heart blaugh

Painting and vector work are beyond me gonk
No matter how many tutorials I follow in the Computer Arts mag, I still don't understand the pen tool. All those anchor points and everything @_@
I can paint when the mood properly strikes, but it's infrequent and I never have the space. Otherwise the paint looks junky and bumpy, not even "painterly", just like some kid's paint splat.

I CAN do the Pollock thing, but it's just silly if it's not actually Pollock doing the splattering and brush drips. All full of prentenious artistness with each canvas.

There's another artistic weakness. Im horrid at being pretenious and spouting off over the deep-end. The meanings I work with are never any I hold to the "higher emotions" and am not going to get all haughty over. >D

I have a lot of trouble with arms and legs. Sometimes eyes too. But, I think I'm slowly getting better... maybe.

This bug is really miniscule compared to all the other things that could go wrong, but I can`t draw mohawks from aerial or front views. And that bothers me greatly.

I'm not good at shading and folds... And I need to work on my anatomy. But feet are the bane of my artistic life, curse them.

Okay, let's see...

I cannot draw hands/feet all that well.
Sometimes after I ink a picture, I realize that the background line(s) are crooked. o.o'
I'm not very good at inking... ^-^;
I'm bad at figuring out the folds, too. I scarcely draw them.
I can't really draw males well... They end up looking female. O_O

That's a lot of them, but there are probably more. sweatdrop
