Welcome to my art contest! I have been wanting art of my Original Characters for a while now, and rather than commissioning a few people, I decided that I wanted to give a larger number of people the chance to win some great prizes just for drawing a little bit of artwork.

Rules & Guidelines

+ Do not break any of the Gaia ToS.
+ You may submit as many entries as you wish.
+ Each entry cannot win more than one prize.
+ Artwork MUST be your own and done for the characters Aurora & Twilight.
+ Art theft & art copying will not be tolerated.
+ All submitted entries become mine upon submission. I would never claim them as my own, you WILL recieve full credit, but it does mean that artwork will be subject to resizes, fileextention changes, and used in banners and the like. You may use the images you create for example graphics and such, but do not claim the characters as your own.
+ Previous artwork may not be entered.
+ Please post entries here! If you see me post more than three times and your entry has gone unnoticed, then please send me a PM with the page number you entered on.
+ PM me only if you absolutely must.
+ Please post any questions you have here in the thread. I will see them and if I dont get an answer to you right away, I trust that my friends will!

The number is there in case you submit more than one entry to the same catagory.
I prefer .png files for the entries, however all filetypes are accepted.

[Simply Twilight]

Story

Aurora and Twilight are the best of friends. The often dress alike or in very similar outfits, often only looking different because of color or their habits of putting suns and moons on their various outfits respectively. It is uncommon to see the girls apart for more than an hour or two. They were raised to be polite and courteous, but they can also be firm and honest if need be.

Their birthplace and home world are very mysterious. They cannot remember back before the age of about seven, and have not been in contact with their parents since they were around five years old. All they are aware of is that their parents were powerful masters of sorcery who fought against the evils of the worlds. They have no knowledge of anything past this and their names. When they were five years old, the world their parents were living on with them was destroyed. Their parents needed to fight the evils and could not bear to see their little girls possibly get injured in the process. They left them in the care of their nanny, Gaea. Gaea was a middle-aged woman they had met along their travels to various worlds. She was kind and lonely and was more than happy to care for the children when their parents had to go away. She quickly became part of the family. When their home planet was destroyed, Gaea and the twins traveled to other worlds, settling down and living like the locals until more chaos and destruction followed them. When the twins were ten years old, they got Gaea to admit what she could remember about their parents. They are currently unaware if their parents are alive or dead.

The girls have been mastering fighting and sorcery since young ages themselves. One day, they were approached by a mysterious glowing orb that introduced itself simply as the “King of all Worlds”. This King told the girls that he knew of their powerful lineage and that their assistance and skills was needed among the various worlds. They agreed to help believing that traveling to various worlds might allow them to find any trace of their parents.

Since this time, the girls have been searching through various worlds, living for short terms among the locals trying to find answers to their questions. They have also been defeating any evil they come across in hopes of making all the worlds they visit a better place to be.

On occasions, the King will come to them with a specific mission, like the Kingdom Hearts mission for example, when this happens the girls travel where they are needed and complete the task they are given. The missions like those are the most popular missions among locals and story tellers.

Full name: Aurora Sky Galaxis
Nicknames: Rory, Dawn, Sunny
Relationship Status: Single and not very interested in looking. She is content giving all her love to her friends and family.
Birthday: October 1st, 1983 at Sunrise.
Age: 24
Astrological Sign: Libra
Blood type: O+
Height: 5’6”
Approximate weight: 110lbs
Eye color: Dark Blue
Hair color/style: Auburn. Her hair is mostly all one length and fairly pin straight. It goes down to her bra strap. She has bangs that extend to her chin, which she parts on the side and pulls back gently with a thin clear clip which blends nicely into her hair. (Its very similar to Terra from Teen Titans)
Piercings: Two in each ear. The front holes always have a hoop that dangles with a small sun charm. The back hole has a simple round stud.
Tattoos: One. She has a small sun tattooed on her spine in the middle on the nape of her neck.

Personality: Aurora is very naïve, gentle, and kind. She tends to be a little ditzy and to trust just about everyone. She can often be childish and simple minded. She is physically strong; her strength surpasses her magical abilities. She takes any task she is given seriously and makes sure that things are accomplished. She will bend over backwards for those she loves, trusts, or is in charge of guarding. She loves when a mission is completed, but prefers that lives are not lost if possible. She has the grace of a Princess, although her nature often hides it from others.

Weapons of choice: Stout swords, daggers, fist weapons, bow staffs, and spears. She prefers close quarters combat where she feels she can do the most damage. She prefers to bust in and get the battle over with quickly because of her hatred for violence. She often gets caught in traps and needs her sister to rescue her because of this. She doesn’t stop to think about if a battle could be a trap before charging in. Don’t underestimate her though. Just because she can be foolish does not mean is not a formable opponent. She also has a specially designed keyblade for her adventures in the world of Kingdom Hearts.

Clothing preferences: Aurora likes her clothing to be bright and girly, yet functional. She wears a lot of shades of reds, yellow, white, orange, and some browns. She likes to wear lot of frilly shirts with shorts or Capri pants. She can normally be seen wearing small purses on her hips which serve the purpose of holding her fist weapons. All of her girliness is directed into her shirts. The shirts are where she likes frills and laces that show off her natural femininity and grace. She wears shorts to be functional. She fights like a kick boxer and needs to be able to do so with very little restraint. She prefers her clothing to be low-cut enough to add a more mature touch of sex appeal, but she doesn’t like things to go to extremes. She doesn’t like to show off enough skin to be considered a harlot and a lot doesn’t want to worry about her bosom busting out of her clothing if her attacks require gymnastic ability which may turn her body upside down. She prefers her shorts to be tight, but prefers her shirts to be slightly loose. Empire cut styles are her favorite.

Full name: Twilight Rain Galaxis
Nicknames: Twii, Dusk, Rainy
Relationship Status: Single and looking. She may be slightly antisocial, but she yearns deeply for love. She has a habit of falling for men who could never love her, or that she could never have.
Birthday: October 1st, 1983 at Sunset.
Age: 24
Astrological Sign: Libra
Blood type: A+
Height: 5’6”
Approximate weight: 110lbs
Eye color: Dark Green
Hair color/style: A dark shade of black with burgundy highlights. Her hair is cut in a lengthened pageboy style. The front of her hair goes down to her bra strap and it slowly rises as it goes back. In the back, the hair stops just above her shoulders. (Think Raven from Teen Titans, but much longer.)
Piercings: Two in each ear. The front holes always have a hoop that dangles with a small crescent moon charm. The back hole has a simple round stud.
Tattoos: One. She has a small crescent moon tattooed on her spine at the nape of her neck.

Personality: Twilight is a realist. She is calm, collected, and often antisocial. She likes to keep to herself so that people cannot get too close to her as she loathes feeling vulnerable. She is wise and can get herself out of a jam quickly. She likes to remain distant and yet wants to fall in love badly and have someone close to love her. She gets love from her family, but it is never enough for her heart. She has a big heart and loves all, but she has trouble trusting anyone enough to show the love. She isn’t physically strong and therefore draws most of her power from magic. She draws strength from her sister’s love and friendship. She takes her missions very seriously, making certain that they are completed no matter the cost. She is sometimes blinded by her own realism that she cannot trust those who are most worthy of it. She has the grace of a Princess, but it doesn’t always show.

Weapons of choice: Long thin swords (always duel-welded), throwing daggers, a bow and arrows. She likes to fight from a distance so she can most easily survey her surroundings as she fights to prevent being snuck up upon. She likes to fight at a distance, charging her weapons with magic to increase the damage. She would prefer to not waste her physical strength so as to risk getting caught in a trap by charging into a battle. She also has a specially designed keyblade for her adventures in the world of Kingdom Hearts.

Clothing preferences: Twilight likes to wear dark and neutral colors. A lot of blacks, blues, some lavenders, and occasionally white. Twilight makes all her own clothing with Aurora’s help. She can seldom find things that please her style in stores. She likes much of her wardrobe to have a ‘flow’ to it. She likes to have much of her clothing designed off of ball gowns. She loves the flow that the dress makes as she moves. She wears a lot of dresses, skirts, and gowns. Her style is inspired by French fashions, fashions from the 1920s, from various gypsy styles, and much from the renaissance time period. Twilight is also found of wearing either high boots or knee high opaque tights with short boots. She does wear heels, but usually opts to wear fishnets with them. Her fishnets are normally the kind that has large holes, although she can be seen in some that have smaller nettings. She loves the look of corsets, and likes her clothing to be very glam and girly while showing off the femininity and power that came from wearing fabulous clothes of yesteryear.

FAVORITES::
Food: Chinese, pastas and rice, chicken dishes, anything flavorful without too much spice. Her favorite dish is Grilled lemon chicken served with rice, melon and almonds.
Color: Blues and Black
Drink: Various teas, simple juices made with cranberries, and water with lemon or lime.
Gemstone: Moonstone, Sapphire, and Jade
Candle Scent: Green tea, Lavender, and Milk with Lilly.
Sports: Tennis, hiking, and ice skating.
Interests/Hobbies: Reading, writing, drawing and painting, meditation, cooking, gardening to grow her own herbs, making candles, and taking long bubble baths.

NOTE:: It has been asked alot, but YES you may design your own outfits for the girls. I have no problem with you styling them in new outfits, however be advised that these outfits will become the property of my characters and could possibly be used in future artwork. You will retain the credit for these outfits, I will never claim them as my own.

Also be advised that I WILL be picky about entries with self designed costumes. When designing pay close attention to their personalities and clothing preferences. I will not hesitate to decline any entry which pushes the girls away from their personalities and character. If you choose to design your own outfits, and are worried it could be denied submission, you are free to PM a sketch of the design to me and I can tell you ahead of time if the outfits would be acceptable or not so you dont waste your time finishing a peice that wouldnt be allowed entrance to the contest.
