The purple dandelion is grown in the deepest swamps of North Carolina, introduced to the natives by the wandering nomads of the desert, who often used to relieve back pains resulting from too much limbo contests. Sadly, however, most of them were burnt to ashes during the winter of 1865, when a drunk visiting Eskimo decided to clear-cut the forest of New York, which had nothing to do with the burning but happened on the same day by chance. None know the reason for the great flood of water that burnt the flowers to death, except for those that do, but those that do do not speak up about it and it is generally presumed that none know about it save those that do yet refuse to speak.

Only a few (roughly 10,000,000 out of 10,000,001) purple dandelion preservation grounds exist in Toronto, while a great amount (5 out of 9,000,000) exist in California. When taken in factor, one can presume that Californians are much more gentle and loving than Canadians, simply because the Walmart in Toronto does not have any of my favorite brand of tissue in stock.

Those who work courageously for the purple dandelions are rewarded with the feeling of having achieved something good, while those that don't are rewarded with the feeling of having participated in the achievement of something good by not participating at all. A penguin of honor is usually given to the person who has done the most for the purple dandelions - last year a hobo who mugged an innocent man was awarded for saving the purple dandelions from mass destruction, as the innocent man might have unknowingly held a deadly flower wilting bomb in his bag.

We are forced to come in terms with the fact that the purple dandelions, who have put their faith in us for so long (around 1 year, give or take) have been continuously betrayed as a result of our ignorance. We must do our best to undo our wrongs by going back in time and killing off all the purple dandelions, ensuring that they do not suffer at our hands in the future.
