Welcome to Reverse, my first art contest! I'm new with this, so bear with me here!


This is an OC (original character) art contest for my characters Meikahna and Skai.

~Introduction~

I made Meikahna and Skai in 4th grade, and I've been drawing them ever since which has made me rather attached to the two.

Reverse is the name of the story I've made that they are in.They've gone through a lot of redesigns, and I feel that I've

finally found what I want them to look like exactly. They've also made it on the front page of the local newspaper. <3

Now many years later, here I am on gaia hosting a contest featuring them! You could imagine that I'm really excited, and I've

been preparing for this contest all year, and I can't help but feel a tad bit anxious in finally starting it.

~Rules~

1. ALWAYS follow Gaia's ToS.
2. Ask questions in the thread. Someone may have the same question!
3. Do NOT steal someone else's artwork.
4. Do not use your exsisting artwork in this contest. I want shiny, new stuff!
5. Respect me, and respect all the thread members.
6. Don't quote any of the first posts. (by me)
7. Don't stretch the page. If your artwork is too big, just link me to it.
8. Post saying if you're going to enter.
9. Number your bumps or they will not count for the contest
10. **Whatever you enter becomes mine to use for whatever I want such as banners or signatures. If this is an issue for already submitted works, you may withdraw. I will not take credit for the artwork itself.**




NOTE: When you post art, please do not put your art down, or tell me how much you think it sucks. It does not help your chances any, and infact hurts your chances of winning. If I see something that I would like to ask to be possibly changed, I'll ask. If I don't like the entry, I'll say so. I've just been noticing this more and more lately with entries, and I don't like seeing this at all. So when you post art, say something POSITIVE.

~Questions and Answers~

Q: How many times can I enter?
A: You can enter as many times as you want! Infact, I encourage it!

Q: Does it have to be in color?
A: Nope! It can be in black in white if you want it.

Q: What media do you prefer?
A: I like any media, really.

Q: Can I use a base?
A: I don't mind the use of bases, but make sure it's okay with the base artist first. Read their rules.

Q: How long is this contest?
A: I'm going to be holding it until the end of March.

Q: Can I do a collaboration?
A: Yes, you can. But you and your partner(s) have to split the prize.

Q: Do you require a work in progress (WIP)?
A: I don't REQUIRE one, but it'd be nice.

Q: I can't draw. Is there anything else I can do?
A: Yep! I'm having a bumping contest. Plus I'm giving out random prizes to thread frequenters!

Q: Can I put them in a different outfit?
A: Sure, if you want.

Q: Can I enter the bump contest and the dice contest in the same post?
A: Yes. You sure can.

About Skai

Full Name: Skaishei Seirano
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Height: 6'0

Hair- Two-tone black and silver/white. Bangs grow black.
Eyes- Violet
Skin- Tan

Quick Bio:

Skai is temperamental when provoked but most of the time he's pretty apathetic because he believes he has to be in order to get things done promptly and properly. He's very reliable in battle or for anything that someone may want done (as long as it's 'on the way'), and is also blunt and to-the-point. Skai is especially sensitive to the fire element and is able to produce flames with his hands or channel it through his weapon for extra power. He cares for Meikahna a great deal and would do anything to protect her when she's in a bind, and he respects the power she holds, especially her ability to use healing spells. Over time, he comes to genuinely love her.

About Meikahna

Full Name: Meikahna Hecate
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Height: 5'5

Hair- Bubblegum pink
Eyes- Light Blue
Skin- Pale
Note: Try not to forget her cowlick. It's something that defines her. ;3
Also, she wears purple due to her love for plums.

Quick Bio:

Meikahna is a caring optimist who tries to have other people's best interest at heart, but sometimes ends up doing the exact opposite. At a young age she learned healing magic and the ability to use some elemental magic. She's not quick to anger and has a good amount of patience and tries to find the pros in any situation whether good or bad. It's rare to see her down, and she almost always has a positive look on her face. She looks up to Skai a great deal and tries to help him to the best of her ability (she also takes great joy in messing with his hair).
