Setting Description:
The Plaza of the Common Platform is a huge circle of shimmering pale stone patterned in a vortex-like symbol, with a towering fountain statue at its center. The statue, created by some long dead or moved on artist, was said to be a close likeness of the Lady of Cerxes - that would be true if the lady of Cerxes had a four sided head, nine tails, and devils sprouting from her hands. Thankfully most of the figure was shrouded in the crystalline water spray of the fountain.
Lining the circle's edges are the many myriad of shops and stalls, colorful tents and assorted displays of the common merchant. Trade was not so busy nor were the goods quite so exotic as the fortress' Commerce Platform's, but it was still rather crowded even in the fading afternoon. The largest building off of the circle is the Worldspanner's Inn - which provides the long established welcome and adjustment assistance to new Outsiders. The Peace keep an eye on the plaza and the outlying residential areas... although their numbers are somewhat thinned lately, the plaza is generally a safe place to be due to the large amount of people there.
Past the Plaza Circle, the grand steps lead up to the Greater Commons, where the laws are far looser and less understood than those of the Lesser Commons. Guardians of each faction patrol of their own accord, looking for any excuse to cause trouble for their opponents. The Justice resides there as well, his tower looking down upon the Arena of Truth, where many men go to fight to defend themselves against their accusers, and where many less of them return.
