Lias met eyes with Laresh; cold, grey, dark eyes he possessed, the Demonmaster, but for just a moment he became distracted. The weapon firing, the sound of glass into the crowd, and he remembered Zarael. In a flash he had disapeared with a crack of sound, only to reappear in the crowd below, grab hold of his old rival's arm, and then with another crack he was back on the roof with her by his side. Then he was ready to throw more chaos into the mix and boldly send another fizzle of attack at Laresh, but at the same time he was carefully shielding Zarael with other magics he had under his control...

*I know Zienkyer has gone to work, she gave me permission to exersize some control over Zarael. 3nodding

A woman in dark clothing appeared next to Lias on the rooftop, after his rescue of the strange green garbed blind woman she had not seen before.

Interesting....

She was quiet as she watched the chaos below, glancing over to see what the demonmaster would do about her appearance. She was content to wait for him to notice her. He did have a nice look to him she could see up close, even if he was a crazy wild-eyed lunatic. Those things rarely bothered her.

((LOL))

So much for finding answers. This crowd was far too riled up, as could be seen with just this one man he was dealing with. And out of the corners of his eyes, Shun could see that other fights were breaking out as well.

Grabbing onto his daggers, his eyes darted from the man to the woman next to him that had a rather large chunk of wood. Getting hit by that definitely would end poorly for him. It also wouldn't be easy getting close with the way she was swinging that thing around, but if he was lucky, she'd end up taking out her friend for him. For now, he backed the hell up to try and avoid getting hit. With how many people there were around, it wasn't easy to maneuver.

User ImageAs Zoe closed in on the little girl, chaos seemed to erupt all around her. Considering the events that had transpired since the moment she got here, it wasn't as much of a shock as it should have been. What she saw above her, however, always made her do a double-take, no matter how many times she'd seen it... a dragon flying to the earth at breakneck speed.

Zoe finally caught up and stood boldly in front of the little girl, her sizable b*****d sword fully drawn and awaiting action.

As Sadye was realizing she was caught in the middle of things... suddenly a bright glowing light appeared in her peripheral vision. The light was coming from the purple sparks fired from one of the Machina weapons and they were headed straight for her.

It took some moments for Lias to realise there was now someone else in his immediate vacinity. He turned the cool gaze on this...woman, and rather a beautiful woman, he couldn't help but notice; what literally took his breath even more was the immense level of raw power and magic that came off of her. It was almost intoxicating in strength and he was drawn to it.

"Who are you?" he asked.

Finally being freed of the unwelcome weight, Alkhar sat up and gasped for air, at the moment forgetting about his immediate intention for revenge. Rolling his eyes, he returned the mutterings with one of his own.
"It's your bloody dagger, captain."

He pulled the weapon in question out of his thigh, swore at the pain, but couldn't really be bothered with the rather flowing bleeding. It was obvious that this wasn't the right place to start caring for your wounds, he had probaby better get out, first.

He stood up (albeit not so elegantly), bloody dagger still in hand, when the second man came running towards them. Not really thinking, but acting on instinct, Alkhar raised the dagger and charged towards the attacker.

((heehee sorry, its chaos))

Shun was able to back away and avoid the big piece of wood, as well as the man rushing for him, without being taken down by anyone else nearby fighting. As he backed out of the way, the wood wielding crazy lady smashed the swinging weapon into the face of the Shun's assaulter just as nicely as one could hope for in a story. On the plane of dumb luck, such things happened often.

As soon as it seemed he was out of harm's way though a cry could be heard somewhere behind him... "Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp me!! Stop, please!!" It was hard to tell where it was coming from though as whoever was crying was not in sight.

"Literally," Rebecca said. "Bloody I mean." She watched him charge off, he was clearly hot-headed but she found a reluctant admiration for his determination; even after being stabbed (albeit by himself) he was fighting on without a complaint. Maybe she had misjudged him...

"Why... you mean me? My name is of little consequence, who I am though, is rather complicated and detailed. Who I could be... well, perhaps I could be the friend of a demonmaster new in town?" She smiled in a most friendly manner, which looked false, and at the same time sincere.

Militant Raider

Well that worked out in his favor. Even so, Shun didn't sheathe his weapons just yet. With how volatile the whole situation was, it was better that he was armed. It just annoyed him how things just seemed to explode into chaos, however. What the hell was wrong with these people anyway?

This was what he got for checking things out, he supposed.

Slinking away from the crazy wood-lady, he paused as he heard some cries of help coming from somewhere behind him. While he was no hero, there was a fairly good chance the person seeking help was kind of like him... in that they were dragged into this without any of this really being his business.

That and there was always the potential of getting more useful information.

Letting out a huff, he turned and started making his way to try and find where the source of the cries was.

The man rolling on the ground next to Alkhar saw the dagger come out, and the oncoming rush of the man he had been fighting earlier. Just as Alkhar began his attack, he kicked out hoping to stop him. "Hey! Thats my friend you're trying to gut there!" He bellowed while holding on to his side and scrabbling to his feet.

The man rushing for them heard the yell and saw the knife in time to twist at least, taking a scratch instead of the full force of the blade.

"Friend?"

What an odd choice of wording, he couldn't help but sound surprised and a little suspisous. He'd never had a friend in his life....not since that fool Nathanyal...

"Friend," he repeated, despite himself his head was swimming with the woman's power and he knew he wanted a piece of it, somehow. "Perhaps, or perhaps an ally....? A woman of both incredable beauty and power, a Demonmaster could even begin to feel it might be his lucky day.." He caught himself too late; he was flirting with his woman, in his own strange way...

There was absolutely nowhere for Xalite to land.... but as soon as he was near enough to make a big shadow over the crowd he roared with all of his might and blew a gout of flame into the air. The sound was far more defeaning than even the tools belonging to the Machina. Many of the rioters were stunned to hear it, some afraid, some simply startled. Of course for every person that stopped what they were doing there were two more that kept on with it.

Laresh began to sweat as he realized this full scale riot wasn't your ordinary piece of work. He needed to get the Machina to flee if he was going to restore order. But how...
