I would like to take the time to thank everyone that helped make this thread as great as it was.
thank you to all the mods, helpers, bumpers and friends, if it wasnt for you this thread would be nothing more than a hope, and i would of left two years ago.
thank you all for all of your dedication, you have made my last few months the best time i have ever had on gaia in 5 years! you all are so great, i only wish i could repay you more.
i have one last request that i want everyone to do, try to make sokatoas contest just as cool as this one was. im counting on you guys :3

Welcome to year two of Kyles Free Art Contest! As you have probably already gathered, this is a FREE art contest. Last year this contest had no rules, but it quickly became apparent that I would have to change it this year. But, luckily, I have limited the rules down to a few minor things that everyone can follow :3.
RULES
Rule 1: ALL entries must be 500 x 500 or less or they will NOT be accepted (if you need help resizing please see FAQ). Also, no offense to anyone, I do not consider avatar edits art and I will not accept them :3 (an avatar edit is when you copy and paste an avatar into a picture and send it through some filters or alter it in some way).
Rule 2: No dissing other peoples art. There are nice ways to tell them it sucks, and giving them pointers to improve, its called positive criticism :3, or, in other words, Don’t Flame >:c (and obey Gaia TOS, duh xP)
Rule 3: I reserve the right to close the polls at any point (though I would not do so for just any reason). For more information about this rule please pm me
Rule 4: (don’t know why I should have to say this, but) nothing over pg13, along with that, I also reserve the right to not accept your entry if I find it unsuitable for the contest (if you have any questions about this, post it or pm me)
Rule 5: Only one entry per contestant per contest :3
Rule 6: No quoting the front page or stretching my thread in any way
Rule 7: Dont ask for art, beg for things or advertise IN MY THREAD! go make your own thread for God's sake
Rule 8: Weighting the scales in any way during the voting is strictly prohibited. That includes, but not limited to, pming/profile commenting people telling them to vote for you, threading, muling, and friending. Anyone in violation of this rule WILL be disqualified
Rule 9: You may reserve a spot in the contest, if you have previously entered.
Rule 10: You cannot reserve a spot for three consecutive times. You may still enter, but reservations are prohibited for three times in a row. Also, you can only enter four times consecutively.

Other than that its anyway, any how, anything! Any style is acceptable, and the form is up to you. If you can stick to the rules, the sky is the limit.
How this contest works is I collect art from people through the two weeks we have this contest, and on the third week I start the polls. Each poll will say open roughly 10 hours or so, so everyone can get the chance to vote :3. (please see post two for more details on this)
contest theme will always be posted in post two.
Now if this is your first time reading this I would like to point out that this is a Free Art Contest all art submitted into this contest will be considered Freebie art! But just because its free doesn’t mean their aren’t prizes. There are prizes!
Since This Is The Last Contest Prizes Are HUGE!! So I will be expecting GOOD art!!! READ POST TWO FOR ALL THE DETAILS
1st gets – 30k
2nd – 20k
and 3rd – 10k
1st gets – 30k

and 3rd – 10k
And win or lose, all the contestants will have their art displayed for all too see! So, no matter if you get 2nd or 10th, your artwork will still be posted, and you will still get credit for being here :3
When the voting starts I will pm all the contestants and let them know a head of time, so they can come and bump the thread to keep the votes coming it ^.^! And Please Please PLEASE Make sure you have a trading pass before entering. I cant save money very well, and its hard for me to keep more than 10k on me at a time gonk
I would like to say that the voting day might change if circumstances arise (like if I cant get online, or if the max # of entries (10) come in before Friday). If the date changes I will pm all the contestants ahead of time so no one is left out :3
All art will be held in post 4 until the voting day.
Don’t feel like entering? Well, if that is the case, you can still get your name posted for all to see in the Bumpers list! all you have to do is post 5 consecutive times (i.e. 5 post in the same day), or show up and talk enough that I recognize you.
