i have A WIP to show you:

it's kind of the same concept i used last time, except i really hate how it was executed last time and wanted to try again. hope you like it!

Oh, wow! That's looking so lovely! Don't be too hard on yourself, your other entry of Albemarle is really cool both in its concept and execution. heart

The only thing that threw me on this one is that somehow it didn't look like Albemarle to me, and then I realized it was because the ears aren't on there yet! XD (Also, I'm guessing the canvas is currently flipped, because of his eyes. :3) The eyes are soulful and captivating, and the orange/blue coloration of the dragon is wonderfully unexpected. <3 I'd suggest looking at the transition between the horn and scales a bit -- maybe check out some horned lizards or even rhinos. The relationship of the facial features size-wise to the head might be something to look at, though it's not really a problem or anything like that because it reads as stylized, which is fine by me! ^^

Depending on how dark you go in the shadows on the clothing, you might want to go deeper with shadow on the dragon -- just in a few small places, I think, not overall. I think the hair length might be a tad bit long, so maybe just be sure not to go any further. smile the highlight on the hair that's coming around from the ponytail makes it seem like it's emerging a little high-up. (Does that make sense? I'm not entirely sure how to explain it.)

The last thing I can think of is to remember the Green Circle. ^^ Not that you'd forget, but I'd rather err on the side of being helpfully thorough!

I really love seeing Marlu with his animals and I'm really, really excited to see how this dragon turns out!
