Zemfira: Yup, so I totally know what you mean about worrying about sounding weird when suggesting meditation too xd I have to deal with that a lot with my real life friends.

Also, I know what you mean about the news. When I was a kid the news scared me worse than horror movies did.

Romesilk: Oh, I guess I can see how they might take less time being so small. Interesting tactic, I don't think I would have thought of it.

Yay, I already have an idea for this month's entry! Early start!

I have been busy with work stuff, but I wanted to say -- one nice thing about this month's theme is that it can be incorporated into most any image, 'cause all that's required is to feature a new outfit! heart

Very true! Though actually, that was a problem for me originally because it didn't narrow it down enough to give me any ideas sweatdrop
But then I thought, oh well, I've already done Ken, Moonbeam, Constant, and Ridley, might as well do someone new, and so I clicked another character pretty randomly, and reading his description gave me an idea that actually DOES center around outfit design xd

Now that... SOUNDS EXCITING. Don't tell me who it is! I'm going to sit here and make a few guesses in my head and see if I end up being right! 8D

I'm sorry for the late reply! My internet was down the past few days. ;__; And wow, thank you for giving me reference pictures featuring you! (by the way, you're really pretty. ^^) I'll go edit my sketch and continue working on it now. Thanks for allowing the vines! ;D I'll probably add some greenery to her hair as well.

Aw, shucks, thanks! redface

Greenery in the hair sounds like a fine idea! I don't think you can do much wrong, picking a motif so fitting for the character. biggrin And weirdly, aside from flowers being present in backgrounds several times, no one's incorporated plantlife to such a major extent yet. But it makes such good sense!

Hmmm, you're right about the saturation. I haven't drawn at all since my internet went down a few days ago, so looking at the WIP with fresher eyes now, the hair and clothes do look a bit too bright.. I'll go tone it down.

That's one thing about working on art-- you can get so into it that you're inside it, and you can't see it from the outside any longer. I think it's easier to make adjustments earlier rather than later, too. Although I will freely admit that I am good friends with the Liquify tool for just this reason. XD

xd awesome, I wonder if you'll figure it out!
Do you guys think it would be rude to quit work after just 3 days? Dx

Haha, I don't know about rude, but don't you have to give notice or something?

Generally it's advised... you don't want your current employers to have something bad to say about you, word like that can get around.

I would definitely recommend telling them it's just not the right job for you asap if that's the case!

Zemfira
I have felt like that about Gaia at times, but I have never been able to break away completely.
Probably because it's partly where I get inspired for new paintings (strangely enough). Since they've brought out the new fantasy related items it's become a lot of fun to put things together, experiment with colours and styles, etc.

I must admit - i don't like to follow the news - life is depressing enough without having to watch even more depressing things on TV about the world..... but then that's just my own personal standpoint. also i think mostly the news are polluted with random unimportant crap like celebrity gossip, as well as propaganda obviously.

I don't find the news to be depressing in general. In fact, I frequently find it both enlightening and inspiring!

Gossip and propaganda aren't really news, no matter how you package them. Real news is important information, facts, and truth! It should be presented in as neutral a manner as possible, too. It's extremely unfortunate how some aspects of journalism have fallen into the pit of popular appeal and profit-seeking.
