And to all the other contestants, you all did very wonderful pieces and even if you got items or not, we still should've learned something from this experience. My Lesson: Don't procrastinate on contests XD and I also learned more about wrinkles in clothing =o. (which I'm horrible at.) I really enjoyed seeing all the entries, as I do with all other contests because there's such a variety of gorgeous styles 3nodding

And furthermore, I'd like to thank Cimaera for hosting such an awesome contest, and by yourself, too! You even took the time to make individual plaques for the winners, and gave all entrants a freebie 1k! o.o heart I have to say that this is one of the nicest contests I've entered for a while ^___^

Umm, Cimeara, was my entry in your pool of pics before or after you judged? I guess I just want to know if you seeing it late affected it's rank or not sweatdrop

It -did- make it into the judging, which was all done today. It didn't affect its rank. If anyone would like more feedback on what I thought of their picture, I'd be happy to give it in a PM. But in general the quality of works was VERY high and there were quite a lot that just barely didn't make it into the prizes.

I think I'll take you up on that, I always want people telling me how I can improve so I CAN improve. If you wouldn't mind (certainly you don't have to) I would like a Pm with feedback blaugh heart Thansk for the contest Cim, I think I learned a lot and I'll be walking away with knowledge, improvement, and an accomplishment on my part, which is worth more than a proze to me. now after this comparison i say this contest it officially fracked up...

i thought you had to be good at traditional art before you can call your non-sense pictures advanced art. most of these these ppl near first aren't exactly cousins of picasso and are beating out real hard work, telanted people, and skillefully drawn characters that took a lot of time to draw.


art contests are CONTESTS!!! not self-esteem charities for artists who although try hard mabye aren't exactly on par with what seems to me as proffesional art work.

What is your problem? stressed The point of an art contest is to create art for the holder of said contest. If the picture does not adhere to her idea of her character, then equally it means that the artist have failed to capture the essence of that character.

It's not your choice in the matter, our host and judges picked the ones that fit in with what they wanted done. Keep your opinion, your large one, to yourself.

Dude, calm down and quite flaming. This isn't productive.

But from his point of view, he does have a slight point. I think he's trying to say that this contest should have been based quite a bit more in artistry and ability, and yes along with what the artist wanted. If I knew that it wasn't going to be that way, I'd have actually tried drawing myself (yes, scary huh?) instead of spending hours trying to color in the sketch and create a wallpaper.

So muler, calm yourself down if you're going to make these kinds of comments.

What is your problem? stressed The point of an art contest is to create art for the holder of said contest. If the picture does not adhere to her idea of her character, then equally it means that the artist have failed to capture the essence of that character.

if she wanted art for her then she should say that, tell everyone it's a commision for art that although may not have the eye candy of proffessional work (but rather the character representation from a 3rd grade collauge made out of rice, glue and boogers). it was sort-of misleading. im not saying that the earlier examples are not devoid of good intentions, but football and nas-car aren't won or ranked on good intentions, and effort. they are based on result. if a car looks totally awseome, it should be acknowleged as such, but not be bumped up its placing because of it.


it seems to me she made people spend time on art work under false pretences as it were. thats my opinion at least.
