I PM'd Noraboo about this a bit ago, and she said that she tried to contact SaiLun about this, and if we don't get our prizes by the end of the week (last week), to PM her and she will look into it more. I just PM'd her back. We'll see what happens I guess?

And I also find it hard to believe that she didn't get to use a computer for five months. Unless an illness happened or she was trapped on a deserted mountain or island for that time or something... =/
But this seems rather to be a case of "I don't really care enough." ):

If she was banned before handing out the prizes, surely she could have contacted someone from the staff to explain the situation and get it straightened out. Maybe Noraboo will help.

I pmed a mod much longer ago and they acted kind of rude and said that sailun had really not logged in for months so there was nothing i or they could do about it, but that was months ago.

Someone in the contest thread said they asked her on deviantArt about the prizes, and she said she's been banned already? I don't know if it's true, but apparantly she can't log into her account or something like that.

She gave away some of the item prizes right away and then went to liquidate items for pure gold (or so she says), so if she hasn't given any of the gold prizes, I would count about 10 million gold, give or take one or two.

Hi,

Yes, at this point because she's not logged on and responded to my PM, her account was banned. I've also looked and she has no where near that amount of gold, nor does she have anywhere close to enough items that could be sold to get 10 million. she should have never had a contest in the first place without having all the gold available to give out as prizes, so I do suspect that she's been avoiding gaia and the contest because she realized she's unable to give away the prizes she promised.

I honestly don't think it was a scam and we knew she had the biggest prizes that were promised. I imagine that noraboo is right though and she realized she wasn't going to be able to make back the amount of gold she had promised and just decided to abandon it.

And she did update at DevArt on a few random occasions during the 5 month wait, so it wasn't an issue of not having a computer or internet.

Its unfortunate that this is how it ends.
