Hey guys.. I just wanted to let you all know.. That my sister had something to do, and that all the winners' prizes will be given out later on tonight. heart Congrats to everyone who won!

Thank you everyone who entered.. This was a great contest and the judging was REALLY tough. There was so many beautiful pieces that we actually had to dig up more prizes to give because we couldn't choose between them all. We appreciate all the arts and only upset that we didn't have more to give out~ And we also appreciate everyone being so kind and gracious to the winners ( and judges! ) even if they didn't receive any prizes. Thanks so much you guys! heart

P.S. One final message.. Please, please, please send us your linearts, sketches, or printed copies! We'd appreciate it so much.. And I can honestly say that I would absolutely LOVE to have any of these wonderful pieces in my collection.. They are so beautiful! If you have an issue about sending pieces via mail because of the money.. I'd gladly pay for the shipping on the Sammy and Airisu pieces, and my sister said she'd send back sketches.. Not to mention anyone who sent art would be receiving some kind of thank-you from the both of us. ( Just make sure you put a return address when you send it, so we know where to mail back to! ) Thanks again.

Hmm.. I really don't want to sound like a sore loser or anything, but I honestly feel my entry was better than some of the Goldstar awards and even some of the Judge's favorites. I'm not complaining, but could you please explain to me why I didn't win?

Again, I don't want to sound whiny, I just want to understand why. I'm sowwy whee

well a piece of art is not only about prettiness ^^ it's also about accuracy, detailness and the impression it gives when someone looks at it 3nodding

if a picture is well drawn but doesn't inspire anything, any feeling, and another one little less well drawn but more expressive, the one that is more expressive wins over! 3nodding

that too... my have no feeling...and probably hard to see... *stupid digital camera stressed *
but as i said...at least we tried... right... we could have been lazy and not have bothered too...

They said they were looking for all kings of art so we had the same chance of winning as everyone else, If only I had posted a pencil and paper pic (I'm a lot beter with it) instead of my tablet. gonk

true...but when i look at art on deviant and stuff i find that digital art seems much more popular than drawings...now they are a few drawings that make it... but then again...they are a few that make it...

I know, that's why I didn't post pencil and paper art, digital art is way more popular than Traditional on the internet. sweatdrop

yep...thats why i think i'm going to quite trying in contest... i think for now on... i'll just draw what i want...and feel like...

eh...no offensive...but i won't be sending mine out...it's not worth it...
besides...i spent too much time on them myself well at least the undead one... it took me about 3 weeks and that including redoing her body again... i wouldn't mind keeping them... a few people liked it... at least... maybe i'll touch it up a bit to make it look better now that it not under the contest rules anymore...

Any tips anyone, How can I get my lines straight with the tablet? It's fo hard. xd

Patience and practice? :3 I can't draw a straight line...lol.

I draw many swooches and erase a lot ;_; its really tedious, but I end up with good curves..

also, if there are lines that are hard to get perfect, there is always the line tool (I use PSP for that, sadly..)

miew straight lines is my worse point XD

but with PS ^^ you can do straight line with mouse and the ctrl button <-- not too sure about the ctrl x333;;;

too bad there isn't this option in corel painter XD;
