You should watch it then! Right here on the Anime Network website, you can watch the entire series legally but for a fee. Huh, I thought this place didn't have a fee, but it does now, oops. There was that re-release of the DVD set earlier this year, so you may be able to find that at a DVD store near you O:

I've been meaning to reawatch this series, but what with work and final exams, I haven't had the time..... but I'll make time!!! :D

When I watched it a second time, it was defaulted to English. I almost threw up at Hermes's voice. It's supposed to be a whiney, annoying voice in Japanese, but I can't imagine liking the series if I watched it in English ... Not that I always need to watch things in Japanese; it was just a horrible voice for a character we're supposed to like.

Oh, crap yes, ADV's handling of the English dub in general was a mess. Not only did Hermes sound to me like a 13-year old kid who chain-smoked every day since he was 6 talking through a desk fan... but Kino sounded like a middle-aged woman. And to think that before then, I thought ADV's dub of Noir was bad.... -__-;

Just as a heads-up for those of you interested in watching Kino. smile
Finally decided to order a copy of the light novel, I'm been trying to find a new copy that's reasonably priced and it's utterly impossible ($199 for a book wtf?) so yeah had to buy a used copy *shrugs* whatever, at least I'm finally able to read it.

And for those who are interested in reading some chapters of the novel this site has done some pretty good translation of them http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Kino_no_Tabi

Still waiting for the rest of the novel to come out in english...

Tipsy Lunatic

I've owned the entire anime series (it's somewhere with my sister now) but I haven't read the novels yet.
I LOVE the story and the weird continuity jumps in it.
I find a Kino no Tabi fan thread and it's dead.T-T
*tries to revive thread*

I love Kino no Tabi. I've seen the anime and I've been reading the Japanese novels.

Yeah, I was sad to see this thread be dead as well when I got to it.

Thanks! I like it too. xd
Kino gifs seem to be somewhat rare...

I was thinking of making a Kino no Tabi thread, since I didn't know of any, when I found this one.
The thread maker of this one seems to have gone inactive and I guess there aren't as many fans for this series as there are for the more popular ones. cry
I'm still here! ^_^

I really wish volume 2 of the books would be released in english. crying
Yay! That cosplay's of Lia from Le Chevalier d'Eon, isn't it?

I'm on volume 2 of the Japanese version now, I haven't read the English version, but I wonder if they'll ever release it in English again...Light novels aren't as popular in Western countries as in Japan (and Taiwan, Thailand, and maybe other Asian countries).
It's too bad really...

Yo, I am the thread creator's mule, and don't you guys worry, I still loveloveLOVE this series. I am trying to get my hands on more of the Japanese novels, because even though I wouldn't be able to read them, I freakin' love the art so much. All of the artbooks are on my Christmas/birthday wishlist, ahaha.

I was rewatching the anime a few weeks back, and wow, it is just too good for words. I still feel moved by watching the OP. My mind still ponders each episode and how amazing they are. And I still have a sheet from when I wrote down the entire poem from the third episode, and it still sounds so cool when recited.

I am, however, sad that the second light novel STILL has not been released in English. The first novel was what first got me into this unforgettable series, so I definitely want to read the rest of them! And since the anime was short while the novels are on going, I want to know what happens next!!

So yup guys, I'm still here. Glad to see more fans of my favorite series!! :D

Beat Flash
Yay!
Glad to see you're back!

As for the artbooks, I think I like the art section in the second visual novel, "Tabibito no Hanashi - You" better than the official artbook.

Anyone played Cross of Venus? I hear Kino is a playable character in it.

I haven't seen any of the artbooks, but since I love the art for this series so much, I'd be happy with any of them. Like I said, they're on my wishlist!!

I'm playing that game some, but it's hard since it's all in Japanese..... the fighting is fun though. Just gotta stick with it! (however, I just got Super Scribblenauts today, so I know how my DS time is going to be spent for the next week~)
