This is an informal heads up to the SF regulars on some home page changes that are hitting tomorrow, as well as some stuff that is coming in the next month. We'll do a real announcement on the calendar soon. (The writers at Gaia, they mock my simple sentences and poor grammar, but they do it with a kindness in their eye.)

Tomorrow we're going to be rolling out a new module to the homepage. We've tested this on a bunch of our dev interns to make sure that it doesn't cause nausea, migraines, or hair loss, so we're hoping that the community will like it. Basically, there is going to be a calendar of the next three or four events happening on Gaia:

And do we have any events coming up to fill this with? Oh, yes, we do! In fact, we have so much stuff it's amazing we can squeeze it into 6 weeks. As mentioned in Lanzer's journal, we have coming up:

- (Of course, our Halloween event)
- A zOMG patch, including a new clan chat -- in QA now
- New Jigsaw puzzles and a Jigsaw contest -- first week in November
- Fishing, including two new poles, new fish, and new exchange items -- last week in November
- An entire gold shop update devoted to Prize and Joy -- November
- The much anticipated developments of Catastrophe and Pietro -- November
- Two manga updates, including a wrap up of the summer event storyline -- October and November

Also, this year (but probably December):

- A completely new arenas update
- An exciting new zOMG update

Operators are standing by -- but wait, that's not all. Also coming in the next few months are tons of mini-events and other long awaited features that we haven't nailed down dates on. Some of the mini-events will be announced, and some will be spur-of-the-moment and completely spontaneous.

Disclaimers: * Features in the mirror are closer than they appear. All dates are our best guesses, but we're feeling pretty good about them. * Any storyline implications contained in graphics in this message are total troll.
