Welcome!

Welcome to my guide to defeating the bosses of zOMG! I've seen so many threads asking for help with so-and-so boss that I thought I would whip up this to help some people. The guide is finished with a majority of the mandatory bosses, but I may add more in the future. If you have any questions or want to stay on topic about zOMG and chat, feel free to post! If this guide helped you give us a thumbs up! If you have any questions that aren't answered here and no one can answer, feel free to PM me and I might have an answer. Thank you!

Village Greens

Description: Ahh...a nice, peaceful little golf course south of Barton Town. It really sucks that it's been overrun by various lawn ornaments and balls of mutated cotton. Oh well...at least there are no laws against jumping gnomes.

Recommended CL: 1.0-2.0

The Bosses

General Dreedle:This is one Lawn Gnome you won't want to mess with. Besides his rock hard abs, he's got some shovels attached to his hands which are hard to handle with care.

Tactics:

Recommended rings: Mantis, Hack, Slash, Dervish, Scaredy Cat, Rock Armor, Teflon Spray

Recommended crew: A CL 1.7+ crew with 4 to 6 people.

Quest: Behind Enemy Lines. Received from Remo after you complete the Shroom Heads quest.

The first thing you should learn is that this big bad General never roams his newly acquired goof course alone. A few Lawn Gnome's and Major's will spawn with him that are stronger than any other Gnomes. Flamingos and other gnomes lurk around his mushroom palace, too. To lure him out all you have to do is have someone in the area with the quest get the Pink Flamingos to the northeast of his houses attention. The General and his minions will come bounding out. Have 2 of your crew mates slaughter the gnomes that spawn with him while the remaining people Scaredy Cat the General. When his minions are gone, a good ol' Hack and Slash will bring this gnome down.

Deadman's Pass

Description: The old, creepy, shadow infested hill above Bill's Ranch is about the only place in the game that can give you goosebumps. Now inhabited by Animated OMG hats, laceback boots, and clutch's this is truly a place where fashion matters.

Recommended CL: 2.8-3.8.

The Bosses

OMGWTF: A little sugar and spice but not quite everything nice made this gigantic OMG with wings and a roar. Harder than all the creepies in Deadman's Pass, he looms at the gate at the top of the stairs. If you're insolent enough to approach this gate, you will be punished.

Tactics:

Recommended Rings: Hack, Slash, Mantis, Dervish, Duct Tape, Scaredy Cat, Hornets Nest, Gumshoe

Recommended Crew: Definitely a 6 person crew for this enemy. Try having them at least 3.4+ with lots of nice, powerful rings.

Quest: Denial of Service. Received from Ian at his shop Barton Boutique.

The OMGWTF is the hardest boss you will meet at you're point in zOMG!. First, you will have to fight your way through the Laceback Bootsnakes, Clutch swarms, and OMGs and get to the top of the stairs. Once you are ready, one person must approach the gate and touch it at the top room. Six waves of OMG monsters will come at you (usually containing 2, 3, or 4 OMG's each). Defeat them all and you will hear something like "You dare approach this gate?! Your insolence shall be punished!". That is our dearest friend OMGWTF. At this point, you will want to Gumshoe him constantly to slow him down. Scaredy Cat or Duct Tape him when your crew isn't doing so hot. In the mean time, fight that big boy like you've never fought before! If you die, don't worry. You can always try again with a different crew! When you complete this quest you'll get a nice recipe for a hat just like Ian's.

Zen Gardens

Recommended CL: 3.0-3.9

Description: Ooh, aah. To the west of Barton Town lies the beautifully managed Zen Gardens. Owned by a family of ninjas and gardeners, this is the most quiet and serene location in the game. For the first two rooms that is. The sounds of exploding Cherry Fluffs, booming drums, and screaming Kokeshi Dolls echo around the area. Sounds like fun, eh?

Bosses

Kat's Kokeshi Doll: Yep, that's me. Natural destroying and grass trimming extraordinare, Katsumi's Doll is the strongest doll you will ever see. Besides being bigger and stronger, Kat's Doll is different from the other dolls because of her black fan and kimono. Don't forget that sexy white hair. What more could you ask for in a demented doll?

Tactics:

Recommended Rings: Hack, Slash, Dervish, Mantis, Solar Rays, Duct Tape, Scaredy Cat

Recommended Crew: Personally, I recommend a crew of 1 to 3 for beating me. The more people you stuff in the meadow, the harder it gets. With a crew of 6, it's hard to even get to the doll. Those red dolls sure will pack a punch!

Quest: Katsumi's Kokeshi Doll. Received from Katsumi after completing Find Uncle Kin.

CL Max: 4.1

To kill this bundle of pale joy you will probably have to go in a couple times to knock her down. She is the strongest Kokeshi Doll in the game. She summons a huge amount of Kokeshi Dolls and Kokeshi Collectible's before you fight her. The waves of dolls are similar to waves in the Hive World, and after each wave more stronger dolls appear. After the wave that states the energy is about to explode, Katsumi's Doll will appear. After listening to a couple of her cute lines you will have to proceed by beating on her with your attack rings until you are on death's door. Once you are at that point, Scaredy Cat or Duct Tape Kat's Doll then heal and sit down. When she returns, repeat this if necessary then go back to fighting her. If you aren't up for a big, dazing fight I would not recommend doing the Zen Garden's quest chain.

Bass'ken Lake

Recommended CL: 4.3-5.4

Description: The old lumber camp directly south from Barton Town has become a hazard zone. Infested with jacket wolves, buzz saws, and green fluff's this once calm lake is a loud disaster. Giggling gifts now inhabit the windmill up by the Boardwalk, so to add to the chaos they roam around the shadows at night time. Forget the fishing poles, bring the spiked clubs!

Bosses

She Wolf: Give a long howl to this big mother! It must be hard raising hundreds of Outlaw Wolf Pups, and as you would have suspected it drove this wolf insane. She now lurks in her den waiting for curious Gaians to come into her trap. Times like this make us wonder where He Wolf went...

Papa Saw: What in confuction do ya think yer goin' in that there saw mill for? Once y' go in there yer bound to get slice'n'diced! Mama n' Papa Saw in there got a nice li'l family goin' on in there and there ain't nothin' y' can do to stop 'em! Except for smack 'em around a bit, I reckon. Most of them there dullards come out with a couple slice wounds 'round here. Will y' be the same?

CL Max (both): 5.1

Recommended Rings: Hack, Slash, Dervish, Mantis, Duct Tape, Heavy Water Balloon, Solar Rays, Shark Attack, Scaredy Cat (for Papa Saw only!)

Recommended Crew: A CL 4.5-5.1 crew would possibly necessary for these bosses. Make sure you bring GOOD rings!

Quest: Mon Cheri. The first quest you get from Gustav.

Quest: Papa Sawn! Received from Gustav after you finish Cheri's Sister.

She Wolf

To bring this wolf down you will have to have a crew than can follow directions quickly and without question. Upon going in the wolf den, a couple waves of Outlaw Pups and Outlaw Wolves will come out at you. The more people that are in your crew the more wolves spawn! I don't like using Scaredy Cat on these because scaring them away would probably mean half of your unsuspecting crew following them to the wall, which is where more wolves spawn. If you're near the wall when they come out, you will probably be caught in a fight unprepared. Duct Tape leaves your target wherever the ring is used! When the She Wolf comes out, similar to Kat's Doll, you will have to fight fight fight, Duct Tape her, rest, and fight fight fight. The She Wolf is a pretty easy boss, but with a low level crew she can easily slaughter you. She isn't as hard as the waves of wolves she sends at you.

Papa Saw

The Papa Saw encounter is nearly the same as the Kat's Doll and She Wolf encounter, except about 50% harder. The more people you put in your crew, the more Buzz Saw's will show up! If you stuff enough in, two Mama Saw's will show up also! When you first walk in you have a few moments of peace. That is soon to change when the saw family comes at you in full force! After defeating 3 or 4 waves of regular (but tough) Buzz Saws, Mama Saw (possibly 2 if the crew is large) will appear in a huge rage! A couple Buzz Saws will appear throughout the fight, but if you stay far away from them they will eventually die on their own. In the case that two Mama's appear, Scaredy Cat one of the Mama's so that she is out of the way. Take down the other Mama Saw quickly (hopefully before the other returns) and then kill the remaining Mama. If there is only one Mama, do the same but without the scaring. When Mama Saw is taken down, sit and rest before the big bad ruler of the Saw Mill, Papa Saw, appears. To kill the Papa, scare him about every 30 seconds and fight in between. It is important to stay in the middle of the Saw Mill and stay as far away from the walls as possible. If one of your crew mates gets dazed, immediately scare the Papa and Defibrillate them. Soon, you will have the right to run around saying you cleared the Saw Mill!

Old Aqueduct

Recommended CL: 5.4-6.1

Description: Up for some alien butt kicking action? This run down home to alien prairie dogs is the place to do it! With lots of aliens and some...freaky natives of Otami Ruins running around there are lots of things to beat the snot out of! But, when you see the pretty pink dance floor to the east...lets just say it's best to stay away from it, unless you want a slimy surprise.

Bosses

Predator Commander: This commander of the Preda-Pup species is one tough armored cookie. He's got your basic lazor with some extra sharp claws on the side. He never roams the Aqueduct alone, so when you face him a crew is advised.

Tactics:

Recommended Rings: Hack, Slash, Dervish, Mantis, Scaredy Cat

Recommended Crew: Not much is needed, surprisingly, to take down this guy. A crew of 2 or 3 would be fine. For a 30 second battle, a crew of 6 would be just dandy!

Quest: Get the Transponder! Received from Concerned Citizen after you complete Scanning the Burrows.

As previously stated, not much is needed to take down this alien ruler. A little attacks there, a scare if you need rest, and some more attacks. You will most likely want to take down his guards first. Watch the lazor!

Gold Beach

Recommended CL: 6.3-7.4

Description: A beach...the tan...the trees, ahh, how beautiful. Wait...what the HECK is that?! A fin? Screaming people...? OH NO! TEETH ON IT'S FINS?! HOLY MOTHER FLUFF! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!11!11111!!!!111!!!! Anyways, where was I? Ah yes...so peaceful.

Bosses

Duneslam: This giant leader of the Sand Castle Golems, this dune really slams! Not only does he have a huge form, but when that blue bucket looms over your face...well, can we not go there? I'll give you a hint: User Image

Landshark: Three words: Strongest. Boss. Ever. King of the beach, emperor of the sand, ruler of the round coconut...gosh, what else? This sandy shark is everything and more. He is a classic favorite among zOMGaians. This is one boss a group of 6 CL 10.0's will most likely die facing. It usually takes 9 to 20 people to defeat him. Is that cool or what?

Max CL (Duneslam): 7.1 (need confirmation)

Recommended Rings (Duneslam): Hack, Slash, Dervish, Mantis, Hornets Nest, Scaredy Cat

Recommended Rings (Landshark): Hack, Shark Attack, Slash, Mantis, Scaredy Cat, Duct Tape, Diagnose, Bandage, Wish, Defibrillate

Recommended Crew (Duneslam): Three to four people about CL 6.6 to 7.1. Use good rings for this baddie!

Recommended Crew (Landshark): More than one crew is needed. Round up about 2 and 1/2 crews at all CL 10. Strong rings are a MUST!

Quest: Duneslam. Received from Jacques.

Duneslam

To defeat Duneslam on his island you must board the old boat on the east shore to the beach. Once on his island you will meet a couple Sand Castle Golems and Revenants. Get your crew to spread out among them and defeat them with a person for each Golem and 2 people for each Revenant. After a couple waves of sand killing Duneslam will appear. Rally all your crew to fight him and take him down. Scare him if you need rest, or use a Duct Tape if you have it. He is not an easy boss to defeat! It may take a few tries.

Landshark

Surprisingly, the toughest boss on land is also the simplest to defeat. I never said it was easy, though! This monster does a whopping 500+ damage to an unarmed CL 10 and can easily 1-Hit KO any user that is below 9.2. When he spawns, get together a group of 10's and CONSTANTLY scare the shark so it doesn't attack. Follow it and attack it while it is scared. Repeat this and you will have a nice pot of shark stew for dinner!

Otami Ruins

Recommended CL: 7.5-8.9

Description: See awesome jungle views, observe the ruins of an ancient civilization, and get mauled by a couple statues. These ruins deep in the Otami Jungles are one of the most eerie and dangerous places in the game. Watch those Masks, I hear they don't like visitors.

Bosses

Giant Stone Coatl: This is the second strongest instanced boss on the game, next to the final boss. He has a big lazor that comes out of his mouth and eyes and summons tons of minions to help him. He can be solo'd with lots of determination, but it will by no means be easy.

Recommended Rings: Scaredy Cat, Scaredy Cat, Scaredy Cat! Hack, Slash, Dervish, Mantis, Diagnose, Defibrillate

Recommended Crew: Not many people! 2, 3, or 4 people to fight the Coatl will work wonders. The tons of minions he summons makes it nearly impossible with a full crew!

Quest: The Stone Coatl. Received from Rin & Lin after you complete The Gauntlet.

To defeat the Coatl the most important ring in the world to you should be Scaredy Cat. It is nearly 100% mandatory in fighting him! Once you go in, run up as far behind the Coatl as possible. Do not go directly under him or it will cause you to automatically get dazed. Scare the Stone Coatl with as much rage as possible and hit him with all you have got! The minute he attacks, scare him again. When the enemies pop up your first priority should be them. Kill them then go back to killing the Coatl! It will most likely take a couple tries to kill him.
