Yeah, but I'm sure even facial expressions are just XBox and at worst PC mods. Poser is not at all for facial expressions--as the name suggests it's for body poses. In fact, that's why the early parts of RWBY really, really suffered from stiff faces. Though I did look it up and apparently they did use Poser for a lot of things while Monty was at the head. I guess they use it because Monty is good at/likes it. Makes sense considering that the guy did what he could to be efficient in his work. What I read is that Monty really liked the interface... Damn, I just realized that this has serious implications for RWBY--will they keep using Poser or switch to something more traditional?

Yeah, the Wiki tends to catch things you missed/that the creators reveal in between eps so it's a good resource. Well, we don't know a lot about Jaune's semblance, it could still be anything seeing as we haven't really seen it per se. Well, maybe, but Mercury less so. Mercury is cool. emotion_awesome
Would that be Crime or Creme? lol I mean the former makes sense but so does the latter in the context of all the food references in the show. xd

Yeah, he's best off as a supporting character when I put it that way.

Watch it watch it F/Z is fantastic and F/SN UBW is pretty good too. Though if you see F/Z first you might enjoy the other a little less, the standards will have been raised. lol
I put off the latter because I felt that I'd already seen enough Unlimited Blade Works in the previous adaptation but the animation and plot is so much better in that adaptation.
I'm waiting for the Heaven's Feel anime. So happy they announced one for that route because they've already done a move and two anime adaptations of Unlimited Blade Works.

Actually, no--RvB is filmed using actual game footage if I'm not mistaken. It's an example of what some would call machinima. Machine + cinema.
Yeah, RT has unconventional ways of animating their stuff. lol
I don't think they use Poser for sponsorship reasons, they probably do it because it's different. I dunno. xd

According to the Wiki, Glynda's is telekinesis. Though I have to admit, it's not easy to deduce that either from the little of what we've seen of Glynda. Semblances are kinda like an aura, I guess. Some are really obvious like Pyrrha's polarity/magnetism. Jaune is potential, yeah, but rarely anything more than that. I think from that ep in Vol. 1 with Cardin it was implied that his Semblance was a defensive one.
Yeah, I guess some people like Torchwick. I find him a bit of a nuisance and not just in the story-based way. I want to see more Mercury and less of him, but to each their own. lol

Yep, Neo is short for Neopolitan. And I guess it would only be when she's serious if she really does have a voice actress. Same guess with her power there.
Speaking of Neo, I wonder more about Raven. How strong she is and how she just chased Neo away. And her relation to Yang.

It might actually work well with Jaune as the main, I agree, with the four girls being his superior supporting cast. But nah, I think Jaune works fine as a supporting character. lol

Thanks, though it might take forever and I've still got that eternal queue of stuff I need to watch but am too unmotivated to (might just binge rewatch Fate/zero and Fate/stay night UBW again just because).

That's probably just her power. I have no idea what Cinder's semblance is. I'm gonna guess it has to do with fire, but I don't really know, and Yang's already manifests itself as fire. I also wonder what Jaune's semblance is, I can't wait for him to stop being annoyingly useless. lol (My friend and I argue a lot because his two favorite characters, Torchwick and Jaune, happen to be my two least favorites. lol More than Jaune being weak, I find his stupidity infuriating. Despite that I ship him and Pyrrha really hard. lol )

I like Ruby, really. I understand how, but I just can't bring myself to be annoyed with someone so cute and innocent and happy but still capable of kicking some a**. Sure, she's reliant on Crescent Rose, but she's a prodigy anyway. And she doesn't seem cloying to me at all despite what she's been through which I really appreciate.

I was into RvB almost a decade ago. At this point I have to rewatch from the start if I want to continue. I was like three seasons in or something.

I'm a little surprised at it too, really. But it's awesome. And the show is just about to get better--the choppiness was mostly because it was made using Poser of all things, which isn't really an animation program. It did improve by leaps and bounds in Vol. 2, though.

I love Coco but it's too early for me to call her a favorite. Yes, she is boss, but she just hasn't gotten enough screen time for me to really latch onto her. I totally see why you love her though. She is boss.
Gambol Shroud is a pretty cool weapon even if I'm not always sure how it works. It's kind of weird/illogical as weapons go. 3nodding
Apparently, Gray Haddock said that Neo does have a VA. So maybe not. I dunno. lol
Weiss is whiny, but I thought Blake was worse than Weiss in that regard for most of Vol. 2. Blake was like super angsty and I kind of get why but so many times I was like, "girl, chill!"
But yeah, I'm actually liking the character development in Vol. 2 and hope for a bit more in Vol. 3 though it's like they're gonna ratchet up the action there too so we have to see.

I actually don't know, I remember vaguely reading something. Maybe it was another Rooster Teeth series, but something about them having ways to handle a voice actor leaving for whatever reason. I forget and I may be mixing things up. I'm not too far into RvB either, like I said.

Ahh, I thought you were more familiar with the podcasts, though. I dunno about the tank, but I'm just trying to think of something really over the top and it would actually be super lame if that box were just a bomb or something. But oh yes yes Coco is such a boss and I want to see more of her. Well, I dunno, but these aren't normal students, and I have to admit if a ranged high-power weapon were available for me to choose I'd get that one too. lol

Yes, the songs in Vol. 1 are more memorable. Maybe piano, though I haven't played piano in ages and our piano is a quarter tone out of tune and it makes me miserable just playing it. lol But wow! I had no idea the OSTs did so well in Japan. But yes, yes.

Eh, I wouldn't call Nora my favorite, though, I'm not super fond of her though I don't dislike her either and I can see why people like her so much. If I had a favorite among the students it's probably either Pyrrha or Weiss, with Coco being a strong candidate if she gets more screen time. [Cinder for me overall (oh god Cinder in that catsuit, then the black dress dancing with Mercury emotion_drool ) and I want to see more Glynda and Ozpin.] Funny, I actually really hated Weiss for most of Vol. 1, and I used to love Blake a lot. But Blake got way too whiny/angsty for my liking. Guess I need to see how the story unfolds, as I've grown to rather like characters I used to hate (read: Weiss, Yang and Jaune). Who are your favorites?

I'm also wondering how those two became friends, yeah. But that kind of thing happens. I'm definitely worried because I know how RT tends to retire/kill off characters when something happens to their VA; there was a similar situation in RvB iirc. (I actually lost track of RvB. I followed it ages ago when I was in high school, which was almost a decade ago, even before Monty took up the animation for that one.)

(And I want to hear what the Vol. 3 opening would be, hehe.)

Supposedly he said it in the Season 2 finale Q&A Livestream. But that's only something I read off the RWBY wiki. You'd know better than me I guess.
Okay. For a totally crazy theory. Velvet has a TANK in that box. Or some sort of vehicle with a weapon. rofl
Not really likely but that would be hilarious to watch.

Probably my favorite on the Vol. 2 soundtrack, really, though I do like Vol. 1's soundtrack better--"Red Like Roses, pt. 2" is my favorite RWBY song ever.
(I'm thinking of teaching myself on the guitar! It doesn't sound all that hard.)

Oh man oh man oh man I suddenly remembered that I am a Renora shipper (esp because "Boop" pretty much means this ship is canon). Kinda makes me sad and worried. But we'll see.

No, I'm actually out of the loop. My guess is probably some teaser/trailer for Vol. 3, among other things?

As for Velvet's weapon... Monty said it's his favorite. Coco said it's something not to waste. It might be something over the top. I mean, I'd figure Velvet is a mage or something, but what could it be? Some sort of staff that uses a lot of Dust and shoots out huge-a** beams? I dunno. xd
For all I know it's some sort of nuke launcher.

I'm kinda waiting on Vol. 3 right now. Terrible and sad what happened to Monty but they're carrying on.
I'm actually not really a hardcore follower of Rooster Teeth--most of their stuff is gaming-related and I'm not really the target audience. But man RWBY is fun.
