Would you believe I started out as a health science major? Pre-Occupational Therapy was my listed major for three years. Then the bachelor program was cut and I was screwed. So I switched to what I'd discovered I really loved; English.
Beowulf is great, I reread it last Fall just because I could. I've been done with English classes for a couple years now. I also love Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Spenser's The Faerie Queen, Measure for Measure by Shakespeare and the two Anglo-Saxon poems 'The Wanderer' and 'Dream of the Rood'.

Same as you actually; old English lit. My first English class at college was "Old English Literature" and I discovered the wonderful amount of history such literature contained. History, especially British history, is one of two things I like to read most, so the class was like heaven. Only took me two years after that to change my major... long story.

Do you have any favorites within the literature?
