Well I'm going as a leader of some kind so I get to annoy little kids. XD Also it's a relatively cheap way of getting away from home for the summer and I get paid for it. blaugh

Well I may be going to US next summer but I don't need to know geography for that.
Sounds interesting and better than most jobs. XD We don't have specifically tobacco shops in the UK

I just looked up that distance and there's no possibility of you both meeting mid way somewhere like Florida or somewhere in that region?

And hello to you too.
I'm not really one for advise but I'd try not to worry and as long as he actually keeps in touch when he can, I don't foresee any major problems. Also spend as much time with him as possible before he actually deploys.
Just a point: I am terrible at giving advise (see above) and I have a slight bias in regards to deployment and army stuff because I'm planning on joining the army in 4 years time when I'm done with university.
