I'm thinking of including the Wendigo's most cunning and insidious ability in my next post.

Good, so you know a little about it already. So basically, the brother of Alex's grandfather is the Wendigo. For unexplained reasons, he was exiled from the community and forced to live on his own out in the wild. He left and with him went a son...Brandon. Brandon was tasked to luring victims for his father. Since becoming a Wendigo is seen as a spiritual and social taboo, not only was the father punished, but Brandon as well for being an accomplice.

Now the term Manitou is basically a term for lifeforce that dwells in humans and in nature. It is divided into two categories. Aashaa monetoo and Otshee monetoo. The former term means good spirit whereas the latter means bad spirit. The gods cursed Brandon for his role and turned him into the monster that attacked Alex that night. That night's attack was payback for their original exile. The Wendigo of course is still out there and still dangerous.

Yeah I'm not sure how to fully bring her into this. Like should she hear Lane or do something? I have no idea where to go with this.

I must say I'm impressed. It makes a lot of sense and it makes it feel more real and authentic.

Now the struggle continues for me to answer that. One other question with this arc, how far are you wanting to go with their relationship? Lane and her mother's?
