Wow, bad plants! I'd love to know what they are... send me a picture of the clippings? sounds like a plant i need for my aquarium, low maintenance and hard to kill!

Well, Ichi is pretty laid back as well, but the tetras ate him alive! I guess he wouldn't stand up for himself.. I'm not sure what happened exactly.
But yeah, corys are great! I actually plan on adding 2 more to my tank, a couple of snails too. I want to put a few shrimp in my other betta's tank, have you had any trouble with them?

Hey! Sorry to bother you but I just upgraded Ichigo to the 10 gallon tank. The filter started... well... he smacked the wall. oops!
I just made something to cut down the filter's outtake current, it's AMAZING! The surface of the water has no movement at all which means a very happy betta. After I finished it I remember you told me that Victor's filter was blowing him around as well.

This link is using a pepsi bottle, I used a regular water bottle instead... something about using a soda bottle on my baby's home just seemed like a bad idea.

I bought two sheets of the plastic mesh for .26 cents at hobby lobby, it was 30 percent off, talk about lucky! Then went next door to walmart for the report covers, came out to be 2 something... so a total of 3 bucks for two dividers. Not bad!
They had one for sale at petco, but it was for a 40 gallon tank and cost 30 dollars. Yikes! No thanks.

Wow, sounds like a nice set up!
I came home today with a brand new delta tail ^^ He's pretty, no name yet though. I'm hoping his name will just come to me like it did with ichigo. He has the new 10 all to himself for now. I just put him in so he's kind of freaked out.
I bought the stuff to make the DIY divider, I couldn't find one in the stores. I'm hoping it will work and I'll be able to split it into two fives.

Hmmm.. tempting. I know live plants are better for the nitrate levels and over all health of the tank. Can you think of the name? I'll do a little homework on it. Maybe a picture?
Tell me about Victor's tank. :3

No problem at all!
I have him in a 5 gallon with a gravel bottom. Its not rough like most aquarium gravels, its almost like flat pea gravel, nice and smooth. Faux plants though, I've never had any luck with the real ones or they come infested with snails. Also, I use plastic plants instead of the silk ones. Every single one I've ever bought fell apart a few months after I bought it, but I use plants that won't damage his fins.
Once a month he gets a 100% water change (with a 10% once a week) I just take his gravel and rinse it really well with a colander. Then I have a new blank canvas to redecorate! He seems to enjoy it, it gives him something new to explore.

Just finished his tank ^^ He's exploring the bottom, there are small bubbles trapped in the stones and he keeps digging to release them and then chases them to the top. Its funny!
