About

Muffling ears, hip aches, bruised knees, scratches on thighs, and a bloody lip. That is the aftermath. Not an aftermath of a tragedy or a fight. The aftermath of something beautiful. All you can feel is this good pain and mind pleasure. I'm talking about being at a concert. You don't feel this way at a country or a pop concert. 1 particular genre is the focus of all this. That would be the beauty of rock. The release of built up energy when you are at a show is fantastic. You go to school with your nose in your book hating everyone because they bully you on your appearance and music taste at day. You become a rockstar at night. Getting lifted up putting your faith in the people holding you up surfing to security because they are there to catch you. You trust them, more than you have trusted anyone you have ever met. Running around in circles. Coming together for a wall of death. Throwing your arms and feet out at strangers dancing to the music. Headbanging until your neck pops. This is the feeling of freedom. This is the feeling of rebellion. The people there are your family. We all are trying to keep rock alive so that one day, we may rise up and dominate the music charts again.
