It ebbs and flows, this site has been oddly comforting for me during all these years of school. And sometimes happy surprises happen, like old friends occasionally logging back on to say hello (thanks for saying hello !!). That’s exciting that you were able to visit your Texas friend in in person again, hopefully less time will pass before your next encounter ~

Corey!! That’s fantastic news about your job, congratulations! I imagine it’s very fulfilling work. Have you continued to dabble in voice work as well? Or was that more of a side hobby of a previous time?

I’m currently living in Vermont, it’s been very cold. I think it was 13 degrees for the high today. I’m curious what type of winter attire falls into your handsome range, admittedly there is quite a bit of variation up here in how folks dress, I imagine much of it could be considered handsome but I’m uncertain how to pinpoint why. Is it the concept of bundling in general or certain silhouettes?
Fair point on the heat argument. Although, I can’t say I’d mind the feeling of skin burning off right now.

Cats (plural now wow! Also a dog and a bird..) are doing so so great. How are your critters? Is your mom’s sweet dog still around? Last we talked you mentioned quite a bit of family stress, I hope that’s calmed some in the last three years.

Ooof lol I can empathize. My university made national headlines for unchecked undergraduate partying earlier in the fall, and as a result the increase in cases. The first in class lab I taught I overheard a few of my students bragging about the parties they had attended that weekend, 'twas a bit nerve wracking.
Really glad to hear about the low cases within your workplace walls! Have you been feeling safe in your daily routine outside of work?
Also does this mean you're no longer working at the restaurant with the cool aquarium?

"Ton of cool family related stress" :c I'm sorry Corey, that royally sucks. Also, wow, impressive how you can go from an appointment two weeks out to next day with the dedicated psych department. Hopefully this means you're getting the help you need to cope with whatever is going on? Or at the very least being able to talk about it.

"throwing a yam in there" I picture you basketball pitching a yam across your kitchen into the air-fryer basket. Sounds like a good and healthy snack!!

Corey!! I'm so sorry for how late this reply is. I generally use gaia to scream into the void since I know longer know anyone here and I hadn't noticed your comment until today. Thank you for reaching out. It was an accumulation of bad things that was set off by someone near falling ill (who has since undergone surgery and is recovering well). Things are going a lot better now than a couple months back, and I have a much better handle on life now.

How are things going down south in Florida? At the very least I hope you're doing well and staying healthy

Random aside, the time for sweet potato casserole is coming! You were the first to tell me about this dish, and since then I've noticed it on thanksgiving tables every year

Yes. 6 orcas to be exact. And they're named Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
They look great in theory, but once you're the seal they're hunting I suppose its not so great.

7 days a week? Good gosh Corey, no wonder you got sick. emotion_8c
Have you considered being a rad tech? They make quite a bit of money and the certification process doesn't take all that long.
Working with people who like you at the cafe does sound homey though!
