In my opinion (I guess that's “IMO” to you younger guys), creasing gives the shoe a little character. It shows that they've been used for the purpose they were made for in the first place -- to be worn and play basketball in.
Walk normally and let your shoes crease, for God's sake. Let everyone see that you WEAR your shoes, not sit back and idolize them on display like a shrine.
I'm a collector and I have many J's that I have not yet worn (which I will) and some I plan on keeping deadstock because of their sentimentality to me. NOT to someone else -- just me. And, NOT just to resell, either.
So, wear your sneakers with pride and be proud that they crease (if they do) and look at it as a by-product from the passion of being a sneakerhead -- the joy of WEARING them.
You ARE in this for the passion, right? NOT for the hype, to LOOK cool or to resell, right?
