Family: Daughter of Rin and Sesshomaru. Sister of 22-year-old Sesshaku.

Weapons: Hono'osaiga (flame sword) & Naosusaiga (healing sword)

Rai is an original character from the anime series, "InuYasha". It's been 30 years since the death of Naraku, and this young hanyou dog is making her presence known throughout the Feudal Japan era.

Rai is the samurai daughter of Sesshomaru. She is much like him, mostly demon than human. She has built-in soceress powers plus has been a psychic since birth, which makes her able to see and talk to the dead. Her major influence in her upbringing came from her grandfather, Inu no Taisho.

Her fire abilities come from a dragon's heart that she swallowed. The dragon was the feeble son of Aun, Hiun. When she was little, Rai went to Toutousai to get two fang swords for herself. Aun's son asked for his fangs to be used with one fang and his scales with the other. Hono'osaiga was thus made from the fangs of the dragon and the Naosusaiga from the scales.

Rai received her samurai training at the dojo on Mt. Hiei. Here is where she learned her warrior skills, so as not to be so reliant on her demonic powers. Which means even without her powers in her human state, she can still fight.

One flaw she has is the inability to fly. Well more like an ability she struggles with. She can fly short distances, but for traveling she needs someone to carry her. Her horse companion, Inazuma, is almost always up to the task and can fly her wherever she needs. He also serves as her ally in battle. Make no mistake though, she doesn't own him. He's like how Kirara is to Sango. Inazuma is a free animal just like Kirara and when not in battle he does as he pleases.

Inazuma the Thunder Horse

Name: Inazuma
Race: Youkai Horse
Age: Unknown
Family: Younger brother of Entei. Although brothers, Inazuma always despised Entei because of his evil ways. Inazuma doesn't like entertaining the idea of teaming up with humans or demons with malevolent hearts.
Weapon: The word Inazuma literally means Thunderbolt in Japanese. He's able to control thunder storms. He can pull lightning attacks from his mouth, as well as, produce thunder and rain clouds with his hooves.
Personal Note: Inazuma is companion animal to Rai, but isn't her pet. Inazuma has no owner. He's a needed companion to Rai, because she lacks in long-distance flying. She can fly short distance, but if she needs to travel, she needs a companion who is able and willing to do that. Inazuma is a flying horse, just like his brother, Entei.
Character Flaw: Inazuma is like Miroku in a horse suit. He's a womanizer. Fortunately for all you human women, you have nothing to fear. His only interests are the fairer sex in his own species. Inazuma loves going after young fillies and stable maids. He just has to watch out for the stable master, the head stallion. He's been chewed out many times by him on more than one occasion.

Master Shippo of the Fox Demons

Name: Shippo
Race: Youkai Fox
Age: 30 (Looks and acts 20)
Family: (deceased parents *from the anime*) Although in a dream he shared with Rai, he did get to see and touch his father again. There was much crying involved.
Powers: Shippo's fox magic has improved greatly since the death of Naraku, 30 years ago. He's able to engulf his enemies with the fox fire. One very special technique he has performed well is animal transformation. He's able to transform his whole body into an actual red-and-tan fox and can get as big as Kirara in her full demon form. He uses this technique both in combat and flying. In fact this is what he transforms into for flying anymore. Never becomes that pink-balloon thing anymore.
Personal Note: In my fanfiction, Shippo becomes Rai's main squeeze. The two are inseparable lovers, they only have love for the other.
