Since email communications are very popular, people need more tips to know how to best utilize the tool. I've taught people to use email applications and included basic etiquette only as a side bar on specific topics. However, I am now seeing so many poorly developed emails being sent as communications in business. I now realize email etiquette is becoming more important as the use of this tool increases. As a fellow professional sending email, I feel the need to encourage better etiquette.
This also means your voicemails and incoming faxes can be easily delivered to you via e-mail. This makes your e-mail program your single point of contact for all incoming communications. This feature is often called 'unified messaging' and will make your small 2 way radios in business a lot easier.
Also, since most business calls tend to become personal in nature, try using faxes and memos instead for your communications in business. Putting things down in paper and ink gets right to the point and saves you time. You can also try setting a timer for 5 minutes or so during your calls, and when it goes off, just be sure to wrap things up.
The cheap business comms demands a nominal business line rental be paid. So you have the connection installed in your office and you do not have to pay a high rental. What ensues? You make a great saving on your overall seed capital. And the money you save can be used for another purpose. Is that not great given how expensive things have become and given how important it is to have solid cash storage?
When you really want to impress someone, the best way is to take the time to write them an actual note or letter that you put technology in communications an envelope, put a stamp on and mail, rather than dashing off a quick e-mail. It doesn't matter that your penmanship may not be perfect. What's important is that you actually took the time to send them a personalized communication. We all loved getting cards and letters when we were young and I believe the same is true today. Aside from anything else, a personal communication sets you apart from everyone else who just sends e-mails and quick text messages!
Overall, going with this new modern way of faxing, seems like the right way to proceed. You will have an easier, more convenient way to fax that is a lot cheaper than traditional faxing. You will also have a portable faxing system which can be accessed at any time and any where. An eco-friendly way to fax that will save valuable natural resources. What more could you ask for, but like all business decisions, it's your call?
