Chronic Lower Back Pain Relief
Millions of people around the world suffer from chronic lower back pain and it is one of the most common of all types of pain reported to doctors. When someone is suffering from back muscle pain, then they want to know how to relieve back pain as soon as possible.

Some people will first try over the counter medications like Tylenol, aspirin, Aleve, Motrin or try things like heating pads, ice packs or stick on pain relief pads. They may also try exercises for lower back pain. If these don't help, they usually seek relief from a back doctor to learn how to relieve back pain.

Besides the pain, there could also be numbness of the lower extremities, or even what is called referred pain, which is when an area near the problem area is what is causing the back muscle pain. This could be due to many reasons, which means going to the doctor to find out how to relieve back pain.

When should you seek medical help?

Sadly, your discs in your lower back can wear out and cause chronic lower back pain for several different reasons. Chronic lower back pain must first be diagnosed so you know what is causing it and if you should seek medical help. Some of the things that may cause back muscle pain include:

However, if your chronic lower back pain is pain on the right side, it is possible it could be caused by a kidney infection or some other sort of bacterial infection, so it is vital to have it checked out by a doctor immediately to rule this out.

Physical therapy for lower back pain relief

Sometimes a person with chronic lower back pain will be referred to a physical therapist to learn how to do back exercises for pain. These exercises involved stretching the back muscles to make them more flexible and get them stronger. This is a good way to get rid of chronic lower back pain, but it can take several weeks of doing them before you see results.

Two examples of exercises for lower back pain are a back flexion and a knee to chest exercise. The first involves the person laying on their back and pulling their knees to their chest while they are moving their head forwards and feeling a stretch while they are all in a balled up position.

The second is done while lying on the back with their knees bent and their heels on the ground and then grabbing their leg behind the knee and pulling it up to their chest. You need to do these for several repetitions.

All in all, chronic back pain is not pleasant and if you are suffering from it please seek help from a doctor to help you to get back muscle pain relief.
