Decide where the Winland Humidity Sensor should be installed. It should be located away from any doors or furnace equipment to get a representative reading. You may want to locate it near where your found the highest humidity levels through your humidity monitor.
Find a wall outlet near that location. Connect the Insteon input-output linc to the humidistat following directions that came with both devices. Plug the input-output linc into the wall outlet.
Now place the fan or fans in locations that will provide good air circulation. Plug the fan power cord into an Insteon plug-in appliance switch module; then plug the module into a nearby wall outlet.
Following instructions that came with the products, link input-output linc to the appliance switch and set the humidistat to the humidity level that will activate the fan.
If you want to connect this setup to your Insteon web-enabled central controller, simply link the controller to appliance switch and to the input-output link modules following instructions.
Set the humidistat at the humidity level which will activate the fan and link the input-output linc with the central controller.
