Prior to joining Business Wire, Woodall held the position of Director of Marketing for TEKgroup International, an online newsroom software provider. She was the original creator of the TEKgroup Online Newsroom Survey for journalists' needs from 2004 to 2009, and involved in all aspects of the company's operations, including marketing, communications, sales, product development and partner relations.
Woodall holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida and an Internet Webmaster Certification from Florida Atlantic University.
Woodall is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, formerly on the Board of Directors of the PRSA Gulfstream Chapter, and has served as Website Chair for the Gulfstream and Palm Beach Chapters. She has been nominated for the Association of Women in Communications Woman of the Year (Technology), is an active speaker and writer.
She was interviewed for the interactive online newsroom chapter of Deirdre Breakenridge's book, "PR 2.0: New Media, New Tools, New Audiences," and has been published in PR Tactics, PR WEEK, Bulldog Reporter's Daily Dog, and the South Fla. Business Journal.
