Psssttt...
Ever heard of... Slender Man? Jeff the Killer? Candle Cove?
Well, I'm sure you might have at least heard of good ole Slendy. I mean, he has computer games based on him for goodness sake! I think he was also made pretty famous for some gang called the hornets or something (I'm too lazy to look up their names xp oops, nevermind - they're called the Marble Hornets), and also by Youtuber Pewdiepie for all those Slenderman gameplay videos (at least, that's how I found out about Slendy wink ). And of course, watching Pewds led me to getting the game too, and it really is scary even after numerous attempts at finding the damn notes... sweatdrop Sorry, I went off in a different direction unrelated to the point of today's entry.
Anyway, my topic this fine, uh, morning/night/day/evening is Creepypasta. Y'know, the word itself doesn't seem to imply anything out of the ordinary, doesn't it? Creepypasta... can you imagine pasta being creepy? But hey, when I actually found what kind of stuff go under this term, I finally realized the twisted minds out there. But what is "Creepypasta"? In short, a creepypasta is a short story that is posted on the internet that is designed to unnerve and shock the reader. So basically, just something for aspiring horror writers to cut their teeth on, or for people who like to write creepy stuff on the internet. And that's the likes of Slender Man and co. came about: as internet memes that just happen to take on a life of their own, and will now haunt you forever and ever eek Slender Man, Jeff, The Rake, the peeps of Candle Cove twisted
However, creepypasta isn't just original content. With creepypasta, all things we love and take for granted suddenly become twisted and all round.... creepy. Minecraft, Pokemon, Sonic, Zelda, even Disney, and "lost episode" types about your fave TV series. I even found a couple about Sponge Bob Squarepants (this even has its own subcategory), Fairly Odd Parents, Dr. Who, Avatar: Legend of Aang, Doreamon; you name it, Creepypasta's got it. I regret looking at these buggers but something keeps pulling me back burning_eyes
Anyho, I found a creepypasta wiki: Creepypasta Wiki
And just for you, I'll even include these two pastas that creep me out so much and it took great will power to tear my eyes away (don't worry, my eyes will heal, the doc says it'll take time, but they will heal.... in time....)
Avatar: Last Airbender "Lost Episode" Squidward's suicide
Also just for you, let me tell you about that Slenderman game I've got. Slenderman: Eight Pages. I wanted to try it out after watching Pewds, Smosh, and even a Teens react to... episode, they were all playing it.
Now, the horror genre isn't really my thing, so downloading this was so out of character for me.... I even waited 2 hours for it! So, yeah, I played Eight Pages; kept getting caught sometime around the 4th page. After about a couple of weeks of persevering to get all 8 pages (gotta get 'em all!), getting bored and frustrated at getting lost in-game, and suffering so many jumpscares courtesy of Slender Man, I decided to delete the game. So I banished from my desktop to the Recycle bin, and then from Recycle bin to oblivion... or so I thought. Later on I turned on my laptop, and Slenderman: Eight Pages was back on my desktop. I was pretty sure I had deleted the file, but I just did the same to this file: Deleted it, forever. And it came back... I've been doing this cycle for a month now... And each time, it comes back.
It. Keeps. Coming. Back!
So what do ya think. This is my (crappy) attempt at cooking up a creepypasta. Spooky, huh? P.S. New rule of the internet: If it exists, there will be creepypastas of it.
