Well Gaia, I am back after a long hiatus (it was over two years okay) and so much has changed, but it's also the beginning of a new year, 2013, can you believe it, and I've been a member since January of 2004. Wow, almost ten years, one does change a great deal in that amount of time.
So what is new?
Well, I'm 30 now and oddly I feel the need to be on anime inspired social networking sites, while writing fan fictions about Hawaii Five-O of all things, and spending way too much time on Tumblr. I've been a teacher for three years, but only just had my own classes last year and now I'm back to being a substitute again - not the best. I still work at a credit union and I sing weddings in the summer mostly.
I have traveled to New York City and loved it, (made a side trip to New Jersey to by sweets at Carlo's Bakery) and i'm finally going to the caribbean on a cruise this year. Will forever be a Pirate.
Last May my dad passed away after battling an illness for quite some time and I still don't feel like it's real...how am i suppose to feel like it's real when i dream about him almost every night? At least his suffering is over.
What hasn't change?
Well, I still love Johnny Depp, I think I will forever. I still love the colour pink, and reading, and writing fan fictions.
Aside from that, I have other non-obtainable loves - like my love of Scott Caan, he's my new favourite, and Benedict Cumberbatch, and Robert Downey Jr.
I'm totally into the avengers, almost anything Sherlock related (but not elementary) and I feel like i watch more TV then i ever did before.
Is it bad to have a TV show for every night of the week?
I don't think so. In the world of TV I'm balanced.
Five-O on monday gives me the cop procedural that i crave, and Tuesday NCIS: LA takes that to another level.
My new Wednesday Love Affair involves Chicago Fire and i feel that it gives you the emergency situations that you only hear about after the face in the cop shows and that lead into the medical dramas - plus Doctor Chase from House is now Lieutenant Matthew Casey and he makes a might hot fireman!
Thursday i get my Geek on with The Big Bang Theory and Then Grey's Anatomy, just to give me that little bit of medical drama - and Christina Yang - that i need in my life.
I take Fridays and Saturdays off from TV and i try not to really watch anything substantial on either of those days and then on Sunday I watch Once Upon A Time, but even that has started to wain for me.
Occasionally i'll watched the Odd Ghost Adventure, and i wait For Supernatural to come out on DVD so that i can ogle Sam and Dean any time i want, plus i just don't need to get involved in that fandom.
I also really like the BBC Sherlock, but who knows when that will come back to TV - never at this rate.
Is it sad that all i really have to write about is the same stuff i used to write about here anyway?
Yes, it most certainly is. But life goes on in different ways. Who knows what tomorrow will bring...
So i have deleted everything that was once in this journal because i want to start over with something new. I'm going to try to update this more often, just to help fuel my muse.
What is next for me on Gaia?
Who knows, i think most of the people that i once knew have moved on from this place, so maybe it really is a new beginning. I'm like a n00b with a great wardrobe...go figure.
