Last weekend I had the most philisophical dream in my life I remembered most of it, strangley, and I told Jim and Reuben about it. I took that IM chat and put it in here, edited into story format.
I had just got done working for someone, but I can't remember what exactly I was doing. All I can remember is that it had something to do with the color orange. When I was done it was night, and I started walking. I can't tell if I was actually headed home or elsewhere, but I started walking nonetheless. During my walk I came accross a school esque building and I walked into the courtyard. At the entrance was a huge, black metal gate. The forrbodding, haunted house kind. Through a glass wall I saw two men talking, one of them dressed in a fancy masqurade costume. I was curious, so I entered the bulding and overheard them plotting to kill the particiants of some sort of fancy party. They didn't regard me, so I continued on through the building. Eventually I came to a wooden door and walked through. The inide was the length of a ballroom and the width of bedoom. The whole interior was dark red from carpet to ceiling. A brown wood ceilieng fan and on the wall oposite the door was a bed. The room was full of people talking and laughing. I knew some of the people, but I couldn't focus on any faces, as is to be expected in a dream. In each top corner of the room was a television, playing something, but, of course, I couldn't focus on those either. The bed was dark red (like the rest of the room) but on the bed lay a weeping prostitute. She was naked, but not perversley so. I don't know how I knew what her occupation was, but anyway, She was crying out in her sleep and moving around restlessly, so I shook her sholder to wake her from her nightmare. Nothing happened, and no one even seemed to notice she was there. So anyway, I told everyone that there was a plot to kill them all. In their hurry to get out they trampled me, and left the girl on the bed. The man in purple walked in and looked down at me on the floor dissaprovingly. Then he swept his cape and turned back time to before I told everyone to get out. I tried to tell everyone again to get out, but they couldn't hear me. Then the girl on the bed woke. She covered herself to little avail with a blanket and grabbed my arm, quickly leading me out of the room. The Masquraded man was standing outside the room, and he smiled at me deviously, nodding. When I looked through the door, the fan was spinning, the people writhing on the floor and screaming. The man swung his cape again and he was a bat and took flight. Then I went to chase him, for some reason leading the girl with me. I saw my family throught the glass walls in another part of the building, but they couldn't see me. My youngest sister wasn't there, and then I realized she was trying to get to them, driving a car through the court yard. The gates closed behind her, and this is when I noticed two rediculously huge wolves. One, a female, oustide the courtyard, and the male was inside the courtyard. It attacked the car, to great effect, I might add, and my sister leapt out, and with a lot of luck made it in with my parents. I looked at the beautiful woman with the red blanket and I could tell she needed to get out of this cursed place. I let go of her hand and walked out the door into the courtyard. The wolf immediatley attacked me, and I fought hard but hoplessly. I was dying, and the wolf was getting weary of thwarting my efforts. I managed to throw him off me, but he rebonded off the ground and flew at me, his gigantic maw crushing down on my sholder, and I felt my self start to lose consiousness. I stumbled around, about to accept defeat, when I noticed the wolf become docile and walk towards me. I relzed I had gained his respect as he layed at my face, and I finally fainted, falling asleep in it's warm coat.
