Island Nation
Island Nation

Basics: a group of twenty-five islands, this is the ninth and final political force on Geno. The Island Nation stems off of many island-vs-island struggles. However, reality kicked in 100 years ago and after hearing about what happened to the Sixth Continent, they realized that alone, they could not stand up to colonizing forces. Due to this, the Islands have created an interlocked web of Mutual Protection agreements and have ceased the aggression between the islands (or at least have stopped them from attacking one another). After years of island-to-island trading, when the Mutual Protection agreement finished up, the islands created their ‘Declaration of Union,’ which created a central unison of power, even though the economies for the most part are separate.

Important Cities/Landmarks:

Ka Providence- the group of islands Ka, Agir, Ignis, Feuer, and Teine. It is one of the five providences of the Island Nation and is the Northern-most providence. Like all other providences, Ka is the capital island and remains in control over the other four. In terms of actual land, the Ka Providence has the most, as their islands are the most spread out. However, this also makes their need for more efficient ships even more needy.

Sui Providence- the group of islands Sui, Eau, Vesi, Vatten, and Voda. It is the Southern-most providence and it’s controlled by the Sui King, the leader of Sui. While the Ka Providence makes it’s living off of ships and fishing, the Sui Providence benefits the most from being near the Second Continent. Thusly, the Sui Providence is one of the technological powers on Geno.

Chi Providence- the group of islands Chi, Terre, Maapera, Heuk, and Tu. It is one of the Western-most Providences and is near the Ku Providence. The Chi Providence has popularized a long history of martial art styles. Thusly, each island has at least one martial arts school. Chi, the largest island, also has an arena, like the Luchar Arena in Algiers. The Chi Providence makes its living off of old, hand-made items, such as cloth and other things, which it mostly ships overseas to other places to be sold.

Fu Providence- the group of the islands, Fu, Aria, Ilma, Oras, and Aire. It is the Eastern-most Providence and this is where the islands most ravaged by the island-vs-island wars are. Out of the five islands, with just Fu and Ilma alone, 2/3 of the population of this providence is accounted for. Contrast of the Chi Providence, that does old, hand-made items, the Fu Providence is a large, industrial sector which makes its living off of mass-producing the new technology that the Sui Providence makes. Also well-known for its well-refined airships and airship knowledge, all aspiring airship engineers are sent to the Fu Providence to study abroad. It’s airship ratings are only second to the Second Continent.

Ku Providence- the group of the islands Ku, Vacuo, Leere, Vide, and Intet. This place is important to site, mostly due to the monsters there. The monsters in the Ku Providences have been gauged to be a little bit over three times stronger than those in the other parts of the Island Nation. However, due to this, the Ku Providence produces good soldiers and has a strong protection system for its citizens. Usually, the Ku King, the leader of Ku, is considered to be strongest person in the Island Nations due to its actual military promise and presence in the world.

Government: The government of the Island Nation is actually a federation, an alignment of twenty-five different islands, which are semi-separated from each other. The twenty-five continents are actually put into five different providences, based on their physical distribution. These providences are known as the Ka, Sui, Chi, Fu, and Ku. The leaders of the capital islands, which is based on population, are the designated leaders of the providences. Due to this, there are five leaders to the Island Nations, known as the Kings.
