So I've had a very good response from the people of Gaia concerning my Red Bandana event. While there have been some small bumps along the way concerning the whole gifting issue because of Item Normalization, I feel the event would be a success. In that regards, I'm already thinking about round two of the event. I still want to use a red item but this time I'm going to try something wacky and silly with it. This time around I want to pass around that red Coco costume jewelery ring in the Barton Jewelers. Part of the reason I want to pass around that ring is because of my recent Beatles Help! kick. In that movie Ringo was given a mysterious red ring by, as he put it, an Eastern bird in the mail. Because he now has the ring on his finger filthy Eastern people with their filthy Eastern ways are out to paint him red and sacrifice him. Because as Ringo put it, "They have to paint me red before they chop me. It's a different religion than ours, I think."

So here's how I want to run this round of the Red Banadana event. This time around instead of just picking and passing to anybody on the list, you have to pick and pass it to someone from the list who's online. It's going to be a hot potato type of pass it on event. It's a get rid of it quick event before you end up red and dead. The goal is to have fun and try to avoid having the ring for way too long. Once again, there will be nifty banners to get and fun times all around. I might make it an anonymous event where when you get rid of the ring you sign the card on the box either Clang (the filthy Eastern priest with his filthy Eastern ways) or the movie version of Ringo. Don't worry though because I'll post links to the wiki on the movie and some fun Youtube videos with good clips from the film and a few music numbers they did. That way everyone will be familiar with at least the premise of the movie and whole idea behind the ring.

With the start of the Red Bandana event close at hand I wanted to get a jump on the next event. The first step in doing that is getting your thoughts on the idea I have for the next round of the event. Do you think it would work this way? Do you think it could happen with an August date or would the first full week in September be better? Also, should we gift another staff artist at the end like we're going to do for this first round of the event? Your thoughts please.
