I joined Gaia around January of 2004 and a monthly donator to Gaia, donating over one-hundred dollars. One day I was taking a walk to my local comic book store to pick up an issue of the new Street Fighter comic. After buying it and looking through a few pages, I found myself staring at an ad for a new online community; Go-Gaia. At that current moment my computer was in repair at the computer shop just around the corner; so in the meantime I told my friends about it.
Over the next few days they told me about how great it was and how friendly the people are in this web based community. My group of friends and I are anime and video game freaks; so we fit in well.
Finally I got my computer and without hesitation I downloaded the latest version of FireFox, loaded it up, and hit Gaia fast and hard.
I soon found myself in love with a web site, wanting it to grow and become better I began donating whilst my friends helped me out with a few gold and items here and there. At first I found myself home to the video game and anime forums, but after learning everything there is about Gaia I strayed from those forums and started being a regular helper in the Questions and Feedback forum.
From there I found Gaia Temple, an off-Gaia news site that informed Gaian's about the latest and greatest ran by, from whom I remember. TeaZe, McKenzie, and another person whom I cannot remember the name. There I met some great Gaian's and made a few friends before I made a mistake and was unfortunately fired.
Soon after my absence from Gaia Temple its owner closed the site of reasons unknown to me.
After Gaia Temple I found myself a lurker, posting only on rare occasions. I would lurk in Feedback forum, and occasionally post in the new Questions and Answers forum.
I wanted to help Gaians and keep them up-to-date with news and happenings on Gaia. With the release of new Journals I had an idea to make the Gaia Item Update, or GIU. Though it wasn't a major hit, a few hundred Gaian's would stop by each entry. The journal's main use was to tell Gaian's what's what with Gaia in items, story, and events.
Personal life got in the way of the constant onslaught of updates, I couldn't keep up and had to close the Journal. Maybe someday with the help of others I could revive the GIU.
Though another new forum caught my attention, Gaia Community Discussion. There I found myself surrounded by crazy Gaian's who watched and speculated on Gaia itself. I found myself certainly at home, though I did not post much.
