Genres
These can be mixed and matched to taste, or even combined with elements from books or video games. Sci-fi dragonriders, or alchemist and abhorsen pirates - just about anything is fair game. If I've left out your favorite genre, it doesn't mean I won't roleplay it; just let me know and we can discuss it.
Genres I'm interested in:Medieval Medieval/Fantasy Sci-Fi Pirates Court politics Dragonriders Sky Pirates Steampunk Cyberpunk Dystopian Tribal Arranged Marriage* Genres I don't really like:Most Modern Most Vampires (requires convincing) Slave * Only if mixed with something else to make it more interesting.
Fan Roleplays
For roleplays based on a book, game, movie, anime, etc., I never roleplay canon characters - only original ones. I won't want to roleplay with you unless your character is an original one, too. Canon characters can be in the roleplay, but only as background characters. I want our characters to be in the limelight.
Here are some things I'm willing to do fan roleplays for. Feel free to suggest something else and see if I know it - if I don't, you can tell me about it or give me a link to somewhere I can learn about it. Still, I'd rather do ones I'm familiar with.

Plots
These are purposely vague and are intended to be used as a starting point to spring off from and be fleshed out as we play. Feel free to send me your own plot ideas!
Two assassins are hired to kill someone and are forced to work together. An outcast Orc falls in love with a human (see sample #1 for a possible starting post). A slave galley is attacked and two slaves manage to escape in the resulting confusion. A plane (or setting equivalent) crashes, forcing the passengers to hang together. Our characters are in jail (or are being put on a remote prison island or planet). A ship captain picks up crew and passengers before setting out. A spaceship crashes on a remote/unknown planet and the passengers (most are strangers to each other) are abruptly awakened from cryo-sleep. A pair of masters/apprentices (Jedi or otherwise) are on a mission together when the masters are killed/captured. Sci-fi alien races in a medieval fantasy setting. Fantasy races like elves or orcs in a sci-fi setting
