There had been rumors. Many rumors.
Now that the dragons had disappeared. The people were not prosperous. But they made it through the day. And that was enough.
But the rumors still flew; as fast as the Lady herself.
Rumors of a land with orchards as far as the eye could see. Where ponds and streams ran clear. And in the midst of this luxury was a castle.
In this castle, the rumors said, but softer, quietly afraid, in case the Lady heard, was the Lady herself. Waiting. But for what, the rumors did not know.
So the Lord followed these rumors. Carefully, quietly, he twisted them in the dark. Watching and waiting. But for what, no one knew. There were not even rumors. For the Lord heard all.
Interlude much? I guess it needs to be split into three parts, then? XDD Oops, my bad! lol. This dream is oddly clear in my head... usually, there's only bits and pieces, or if its all there, there isn't a coherent story. Odd.
Reminds me of a combo of Dragon Prince by Melanie Rawn and The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I also realize that the whole bit about the rumors seems kind of like writing from Spindle's End.
