Why?

This is a poem dedicated to a friend who took his own life, Please don't copy this without my permission. Please tell me what you guys think of it. =)

I'm so dead and hollow
I'm screaming for answers
What went wrong?
Why did you do it?

We're all left wondering
We're all left in pain
All these tears flow
They're all for you

I've heard so many stories
But many more lies
Why Josh? Why?
I care about you

We just want an answer
So we can sleep at night
but you left us so suddenly
without even a good-bye

I wear the heartagram
in dedication to you
We miss you Josh
I know you miss us too

You were so different
but that didn't matter
You made us so proud
We stood up for you

Your smile is immortal
It's burned in our minds
I smile when I remember it
but it drives me to cry

I still have your pictures
and your messages on MySpace
Your birthday's on my calender
It's too close to your death date

There's so many questions
We search for one answer
The one we'll never find
Why Josh? Why?

Yep, he took his own life. It was only a week before his 16th birthday. I still can't stop feeling guilty for not spending enough time with him.

So far away
I wish you were here
Before it's too late
This could all disappear
Before the doors close

Tis a thing of beauty,
What true emotion shows.
Like the dark waves of the sea
Or the feathery wind that blows.

Once spoken from the heart
The soul never truly forgets
What we want and need from life,
As we gamble and loose our bets.

Soemthings are regained, but
Others are lost for good. Just
Like sweet, sweet poetry.....
We love and treasure what we must.
