Name: Jamison Harrington
Nickname: Jamie or James
Age: 14

History: At first glance, Jamie is a typical street child, unwashed, course language and a little underfed. However, James is aware that the circumstances he lives in now were not the circumstances of his birth. He was born to Lady Veronica Harrington and was raised in the lap of luxury until shortly after he turned five. The families assets were seized and he and his mother were thrown to the streets.
James has no idea who his father is and although his mother did her best to give him an education befitting his former station, she was unsucessful. Jamie keeps the fact that he can read as a secret. He is a smart boy, a little on the quiet side and was living as a pick-pocket before the captain picked him up and employed him.

Personality: Jamie has a good heart. He has been hurt too many times in his life to be especially trusting but he does have a few close friends. His mother's death when he was twelve hit him hard. Jamie is a hard worker for the captian and this is his second voyage with the man. He loves the sea and being fed and clothed isn't bad either.

Training/Weapons: Jamie is agile and quick. He has picked up street fighting over the years and is a pretty good knife fighter. He thinks on his feet and knows how to get out of a situation when he needs to.

Other: The only thing unusual about James is his eyes, they are golden, with just the barest hint of green. He has no idea how he got such an unusal color of eyes and they have put him in both danger and protection over the years.
There is something special about his father, what that is, we will see.

Name: Arya

Age: 17

Occupation: None as of now, passenger

Reasons for the voyage: Arya comes from a rich family, and is tired of being pampered. She has always been somewhat wreckless. After being informed that she was engaged to a young man of high repute, settled in America, she grew angy with her constricted station in life and what she was expected to do. Instead of fleeing the situation, however, she decides to meet her new fiance and discover for herself what kind of man he is. If she likes him, she will stay, if not... she plans to continue her journey, traveling throughout the new world.

Description: Short at 4'9" with an average build she has dark red hair and strikng blue eyes. Her stance and manerisms are that of a young lady of high status: proud, strong, and determined. If asked, she does not believe in such ghastly creatures as ghosts and vampires. Being a devote christian, she wears a cross at all times except during bathing and sleep.
Luggage/supplies: Harp, paper and pencil, slightly large men's clothing(borrowed from her brother), one fancy dress, a good amount of money, a hand mirror, two men's hats, a sword (borrowed from her father's collection) and everyday travel supplies.

Arya walked down the dock, head high and sholders back, ever the noblewoman. She noted with slight concern that people were staring at her. "Idiot," she berated herself. She realized, too late, that none above the status of a tradesman was currently on the platform, and only three woman were to be seen. Sighing heavily, she approached a seaman preparing a ship for sale. "Excuse me but is this ship headed for the new world?" After the seaman confirmed the ships destination, Arya inquired about the price for passage. The seaman looked her up and down, finally answering her,"Sorry m'lady, but with you bein' a woman an' all, we can' take ye aboard, it bein' bad luck an all. Good day." With a nod of his head, he was back to work. Arya continued on with her search with an annoyed growl. Her day had just begun.

Reasons for the voyage: Kyoko has always been an adventurous girl. She was always getting into trouble and although she was punished severely, it couldn't supress her inquisitive nature. When she found out about the new world she was naturally eager to explore it. After being denied passage aboard numerous vessels she disguised herelf as a boy, naming herself Kyo. She got a job as helmsman aboard the Lady Willow and eagerly helped crew the ship. Kyoko is an excitable girl and learns quickly from observing others. She is a good fighter with anyweapon but prefers scmitars and rapiers to long range weapons. She often has a sharp tonge and is quick to insult whereas trust is hard to get from her.

Yuuki nodded and headed to the cooler. She grabbed a glass and filled it before moving out of sight. When she was certain no one was around she the swallowed the pill, downing it with the water, and waited for the effects to come. She felt her eyes burn as they glowed crimson and her muscles flexed as the pain shook her body. She tried to keep her vampiric self under control for a few minutes until the pill took effect. If her concentration is broken her blood lust will take over before the pill is able to subside it. All she could do now was wait.

Reasons for the voyage:A loveable scamp, Todd has left his mother's Inn to travel the world and make a name for himself. His "Plan" is to travel to America, gain wealth, trust and rank, and use his position to provide a better life for his long-sufferring mother and siblings. Todd is the second eldest of two boys and three girls. He loves his family very much (all exept his "rotten" older brother, charlie) but must leave in order to find wealth and become a man. This will be his biggest adventure.

RP SAMPLE:
Todd stole through the wooden door, holding his sack behind his back. He looked shiftily around, and decided there was no one there. With a smile, he bit into one of the delicious apples he had scrumped from Mr Greggs apple tree. Scrumping was the schoolboy sport of stealing apples, and even though Todd himself had never been to school in his life, he never passed up a little excitement. He went to climb the stairs, but came face to face with his 14 year old brother charlie.
"Mam!" screamed the bony wretch. "Mam, Todd's been scrumpin' again!"
Todd glared at his brother, and bolted back out the door before his mother could catch him, pausing only to throw one of the more rotten apples at Charlie.

Description: around five and a half foot, with shining green eyes and sandy brown hair. A cheeky smile and freckles can be seen, lurking beneath his grubby cheeks. Usually wears brown leather pants/trousers, and a white blouse, typical of the time

Reasons for the voyage: Sara grew up as a slave because her father was poor and soon was so far in debt she was sold. She dicovered early in life that she was rather smart and she began to plan a way to get out of her bad situation. When she heard of a voyage she ran away and snuck on the ship. She knows if she can make it to the new world she can start a new life for herself.

Description: Small and skinny. She looks much younger than she is actually is. She wears a tattered brown dress and no shoes. Her pale skin and hair is covered with dirt making her look dark skinned. Her hair is a golden color and her eyes a crystal blue. The only jewelry she wears is a silver cross given to her when she was born. She has never taken it off.

RP SAMPLE:

Sara rushed down to the dock hiding behind boxes and other luggage. She kept out of sight and out of the way enough that she knew no one would notice her. "Not until it's too late anyway." she whispered glancing back in the direction of the house she had left. Her small hand closed around the money she had stolen before she left. She hadn't really meant to take it, but it had been left out and she couldn't help herself. She looked around for a boat to climb onto. She scanned the names and remembered the name of one her master had said was going to the new world. Seeing the ship he'd named she quickly climbed on when no one was looking and hid under a cover in one of the longboats. She sat shivering sure at any moment the cover would be flung back and she would be roughly escorted off the ship. After a moment with no such thing happening she took a chance and peeked out. The constant hustle hadn't stopped and Sara smiled to herself pushing a dirty golden curl off her forehead. "New life here I come." She whispered her blue eyes shining.

Reasons for the voyage: Young as she is, Senna has been travelling the seas since she was eight and practically lived all her lifeaboard her father's ship. However, due to certain events that created rift between she and her father, she ran away at the age of sixteen and signed up as an independent sailor on another ship, where the captain of the Lady Willow quickly recognized her skills as an expert navigator and pulled her up the ranks.

Description

Personality: Senna is usually quiet and calm, except when she's barking out orders or peering over atlases, maps and chart. However, her smooth exterior belies an explosive temper that has put her in trouble more than once.

Senna barked into the ear of the squat man in front of her.
"Yessir, we off the horn of Africa now"
Her face tightened into a scowl and she stepped threateninly toward him.
"The Horn of- what are we doing this side of the world?. Our destination is the New World you blundering idiot, not the horn of africa or the silk islands"
She grabbed the chart in his hands and shook her head.
"That's it, you're done. I'm dropping you off the first port we reach. Now I have to start looking for a new Helmsman...The captain isn't going to like this one bit.

Description: Got serious injury (Reason for bandages) working as a holy knight. Quit but still longed for the thrill of fighting. He joined a Pirate crew and worked his way up and the captain finally died, making him the captain. He uses lightning magic from training as a holy knight.

Personality: She's hard and stern but can be a caring soul. She'll do what it takes to get her ship and her crew to the new world.

Training/Weapons: Her father taught her the ways of Hausa boxing. She is very good at hand-to-hand and knife fighting. She carries with her always 3 knives.

Isolde stepped onto the deck of the Lady Willow and surveyed her passangers with a smile. They were talking excitedly about going to the New World and she couldn't help basking in their warm happiness. She strode over to the railing and looked out to sea. It was a bright, cloudless day with a good breeze at her back.

"A perfect day for sailing." she said to herself.

"Indeed it is." said a voice behind her.

Isolde turned around to see her Helmsman.

"Shall I take her out, Captain?" he asked.

Isolde smiled at the blue sky and said "Aye. I'll inform the passangers."

Her Helmsman nodded and walked off, leaving Isolde to stare happily at the water. She loved the sea...
