Ok, I realised something kinda random in English class today. One form of the Hagalaz rune looks like a line going through an x (imagine the astrick without a horizontal line). Now, the number 9 is fairly important (or maybe holy depending on who you talk to) in Norse mythology. For some reason, I noticed that 9 in roman numerals (IX) can form the Hagalaz rune if superimposed on each other.

Maybe I just have too much time on my hands sweatdrop
