Xifeng would nod, beginning her long winded tale while sheathing her weapon. "I hail from the Hojo Clan, a large and numerous family that once called the Far Eastern Tea Country home. The first of our family were skilled with Suiton techniques, coming from a costal area where the water was plentiful, It would not be until shortly after did our ancestors form an advanced summoning pact with the squids of the area. We would take on characteristics of the animals before it was lessened with each new generations, though we still retain the ability to produce ink at whim. Do not worry about washing your clothing and body, the ink does come off though I will not share it with everyone present at the moment."
She would motion to the ink all around them. The golden ink on the ground, the black ink on Atsuko, mostly everywhere around them.
"We were soon outcast for a reason not even the elderly speak of now, though litter the very world in small towns. Mine specifically had directly inherited a short version of the very pact though for a very different result. It is only through battle that you can learn of one another, and through this belief, the women of the clan are pushed to seek out fights with people they do find an interest in. Should they win, their search continues for a stronger opponent. Those that are defeated..." Her hand motioned to the cloth that the two of them wore. "They have become bonded, and they shall happily serve their partner with whatever he desire. It is not the same as becoming married legally, but rather something more spiritual. A bond that helps two people grow alongside one another through experiencing what the world has to offer. They may choose to do so, but if either object, they may remain wholly separate."
Xifeng threw her robes over her shoulder while letting out another huff. Her body had taken a good amount of damage of the spar, but it was something she could walk off fairly quickly. "Thankfully, without a purpose of my own, I would have asked more about your mission of peace and how I could assist. Fighting you has only strengthened my view. You certainly do have the abilities to do so. I would ask you, Atsuko, if I may join this small group of yours. Perhaps together, we may make more than just a difference." Continuing to smile warmly at the black haired boy in front of her, she couldn't help but feel eager to finally have found her Destined One. Would he approve of this bound or even her joining him? Xi's breath would pause as she awaited his response.

When she got to the middle and end bits however his face kind of blanked out, so to speak. Only Artemis might have ever seen even a glint of what was on Atsuko's face once before, it was a rare sight of an inkling of fear in him that was only for a moments notice. Once she was finished however his brow furrowed in thought and he placed a hand on his chin.
"I accept. Both of you joining us the Shishin, and as your partner. I was taught to keep a mind of traditions and I feel that yours is one that should be respected" he said finally after a few moments of silence. There was still a bit of nervousness to his words but it was obvious he was trying to be brave about this. Women were never his strong suite to begin with, especially in the field of dating or whatever have you. This to him though wasn't quite the same, it was something more serious. He had agreed to allow her to call him her partner as well as join the Shishin! It was an odd choice of name but that could wait for later judging. She gave a bow of her head while smiling warmly at the boy. "You honor me with your decision, Atsuko. I will serve alongside you and your group to the best of my ability." She then would eye him up and down. He was literally coated in all colors of her ink, though not that it was a bad thing. Snickering to herself at some rather internal thoughts, the woman would motion to his ink stained chest.
"For now, we should recover. I trust there's hot springs or something of that type around, correct?"
She would unfold her own robes to glance at the damage she would have to spend scrubbing off. While it wouldn't be an hour of doing so, it would still take quite a good amount of time to clean it thoroughly. Looking back to Atsuko, she would wait for an answer. Even if there was not, there could still be someway to get that ink off of him. It looked good to her, at the very least.

Artemis had been rather impressed with the speed and creativity of both parties, but once the pink-haired woman had her robe off after spitting some ink on it... her brain had stopped working. If she had been drooling after seeing the woman reduced to a tank top, well, Atsuko was none the wiser about it.
Her brain didn't click back until she heard something about a Desired One. She blinked herself back to reality, eyes straining from not blinking for so long. She rubbed them, catching something about a Hojo tradition in their conversation and, s**t, she said it wasn't marriage but it sure sounded like a husband and wife kind of deal. Goddess damned, every time she left Atsuko, he had new friends with him; it kind of pissed her off that he was so damn sociable, and it made her a little jealous that he was the genuine center and core of their group since he had a personal connection with every person that aligned with Shishin, and... okay, she might've been jealous because the new girl was pretty damn hot.
"Um, what happens if multiple people best you at combat?" She couldn't help asking as she approached the duo. It sounded like genuine curiosity, but it was more a selfish desire to have this pink haired woman for herself, too. Atsuko needed to learn to share! "Artemis Souma," she introduced warmly, intense gaze focused on the pink haired woman's face, to avoid looking at any assets. Then she looked to Atsuko. "Oh, and, long story short, I've gotten bits of my memory back through my fish sage training... I can play music and s**t." She'd need to show him sometime, it was really quite impressive, if she did say so herself.
She was hoping the duo would wash up soon, because she was starting to feel really overdressed over here.

The entire den was a bit new so they may have had to go searching. Now that she was joining them to he'd have to explain to her the whole title system but that could be for a bit later when they were relaxing. Before he had a chance to answer however Artemis would step up with a question. A question that brought a quick thought to Atsuko's mind, one that unbeknownst to them caused a small trickle of blood down his nose that he'd wipe away to hide it among the ink.
When she brought up fish sage training though his mind refocused and his smile was back and bright. "That's fantastic to hear! The sage lands is something we should all be looking into I'd say. If you didn't already notice we've been making a couple new friends" he said gesturing to Xifeng and then the girl who had been resting nearby. He'd let them introduce themselves as Artemis had already introduced herself. Meanwhile he'd quickly have his eyes scan around the building. Another female approached the two, her skin sunbaked with nice dirty blonde locks of hair falling down her back. She asked the squid about what would happen if multiple people had bested her during a fight, a question that Xifeng actually was stumped by. "That's a good question..." Rubbing a chin for a few moments, she would look back at the woman and offer anything but an answer. Maybe she had been on break when they went over that lesson during her childhood, or maybe there was a specific rule against it and she was too busy waiting to be freed from that prison to notice. "I would not know. Most of my family find themselves with one person to fight, not two." The woman offered a name while looking her square in the eye with a familiar look that Xifeng had grown used to. "It's an honor to meet you, Artemis. Xifeng Lao, but most call me Xi."
She went on to speak about some of her skills and accomplishments. She seemed to be busy searching for answers about her memory for whatever the reasons. Not exactly the best way to live your life, but her path had already been made for her. That way she received the memories she lost though, it certainly was interesting. While sages had always interested her,it was hard to believe anybody would want to be a sage of a bunch of fish, but who was she to speak? Her ancestors had slept with squids all the way down since their inception. Maybe there would be a squid sage somewhere...
"Ah, a musician? You should play some tunes for us some time. I'd love to hear them."
Xifeng smiled at Artemis, placing a hand on her side and wincing as the jutsu from before stung a bit.

Atsuko smiled brightly despite his nosebleed, excited to hear of the sage lands. Artemis smiled at Xifeng's pondering of the subject. She was pleased that Xifeng didn't pretend to know everything and was willing to admit ignorance. It also gave the sage an opportunity to best her in combat and win her affection too, though this was no time for such a display.
"Yeah, I've got somethin' for ya." She began to sing Ave Maria, a composition of the Tenkei clan that would restore chakra to her companions and leave them feeling blessed. She finished feeling proud of herself for remembering her family's gifts, and waited to see their reactions.

Location ☷ Bath HousexxxWith ☷ XifengxxxThoughts ☷ Should have brought an extra pair of pants. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ After a wee bit of searching it turned out they did have a bath house of sorts, though not particularly large. The song that was played seemed to spark his spirit, which interested him greatly. However the longer he stood covered in a ton of substances the more uncomfortable he got so it was time for a bit of a bath. Going over to his coat and being especially careful not to use any fingers that were coated he retrieved a pain killer for Xi before walking back to her and offering it. "This'll help with the pain well you recover. There's a bath house around back with water there Atsuko said with a gesture towards the back of the building. Not wanting to stand around covered in ink any longer he set out to the bath house and quickly took off the last of his clothing before slipping in. The water itself didn't seem to have a natural heat source but with a bit of fire chakra he fixed that, raising the temperature to comfortable levels. With a nearby ladle he also threw some hot water at his clothes nearby to try to get them a bit cleaner, it seemed the hot water was already causing the ink to slide off of his body. He'd have to dry those clothes off to now....or rather just his pants he guessed. The show that Artemis put on surely was pretty nice. Just hearing her belt out the notes made her body feel partially rejuvenated as it began to pump wonderful chakra back inside of it. It didn't help the pain but it was always more than welcome. "You're pretty good with that. Thanks for the pick me up." She smirked at the woman before motioning to her ink covered body. "I'll be getting all of this off me, if you'll excuse me. Nice meeting you. Maybe we can have some fun later."
Xifeng teased the female before walking off with her Destined One as he handed her a pill that would help. Taking it graciously, the squid woman swallowed it raw and would follow the leader of the Shishin as he led the way towards the bath house around back. She kept her clothes on to avoid on rather awkward scenes. Plus, he probably was just barely legal. Not that he might want to, being her eternal partner, but she wouldn't rush it. Should Atsuko give the command when he was older, she would happily oblige him. Slipping in with him, Xifeng would lean back and allow the ink clinging to them both to slowly disperse off of their bodies. It was a slow process, with particles coming off faster if they were to rube the afflicted spots.
"I hope I didn't wear you down too much. My ink is quite unbearable at times. You can be sticky and still feel like it's caked onto you."

He didn't quite have time to freak out however as from his pile of clothing nearby he heard the radio beeped and he'd stretch out a hand, drying it as he did so, to listen. It seemed they had another recruit, someone who had actually sought them out for once. That was interesting. He'd give the go ahead to give the new girl directions and would lean back against the wall of the hot spring well scrubbing himself lost in thought for a moment or two.
At Xi's statement he'd flash a shy smile.
"I'll be honest Xi, the fight wasn't the tough part. I've never been....good around girls, let alone a full grown woman like yourself. Not sure why but it's been that way as long as I can remember. However with your tradition I take it as a sign that it's time I change that. Hopefully I can live up to your beliefs"
The entire thing was still VERY recent and he still didn't know her very well but on the other hand he always did have a talent for reading people and understanding others quite quickly. From the little he had already seen from Xifeng she definitely held his interest, her spirit was something he already admired greatly. After a short few moments to let those words sink in though he'd tap his fingers on the wood of the spring before continuing.
"We have another new recruit coming our way. Yourself, her, and one other are all new members of our group. We aren't exactly some massive organization but with our numbers rising this rapidly as shinobi we need to make sure that all members of the group understand what goals I have set for us as well as our other small formalities. Once the newest recruit arrives I'll likely gather you all in the den so I can explain it further. I also think that you three will be the last we take in for sometime, I want to make sure that all of you get a chance to settle in and get stronger before we try to expand any further. Best to be safe then sorry" he stated, voice obviously showing he was taking these things rather seriously. There was so much to consider now, much more then he had previously to consider. The tunnel was long & dark, then Seiko would see another door in front of her. She rushed to get out of their &reached for the door. When she opened the door she was left speechless. The area was covered in beautiful trees with a very nice & large building in the far distance. Seiko slap herself on the face with both hands like a sandwich. After she stopped her shock, she dusted off her filthy clothes best she can & continued forward to the voices. Before she got too close she would stop & yell loudly to alert anyone near.
"Hello! I was sent by Magnus today"
Seiko was not rude & waited for someone to greet her
"I completely understand, Atsuko. Hopefully I can assist you in breaking out of that shell of yours. As long as you can promise that both of us can grow alongside one another, I will be content, ika~"
The woman said with another smile as she stretched while in the hot water with the leader. That little timid side of him was adorable, reminding her of a child who had been intimidated by a much stronger or larger figure than it. Their fight together disproved that theory, but she could see it in his eyes. There definitely was a problem with him when it came to speaking with females. It was just another hump to get over.
"That being said, I'd like to remind you that this technically is not marriage. You can be with any person you like, the bond is meant to symbolize that our paths have crossed and will grow physically and mentally alongside one another. However, if you want like to see it another way, I would be happy to oblige."
A faint blush appeared in her cheeks, though she dismissed it just because of how warm the waters were here. Getting all of that nasty ink off certainly did make the body react in such weird ways. Atsuko would then go on to explain the next coming steps for the Shishin, apparently another new member would be joining them soon. The more, the merrier, in her opinion. Plus, it would be nice not being the only person who had yet to prove themselves to the group. Nodding silently as she brought her legs over one another, Xifeng would smile confidently.
"A fair plan. I would love to learn some actual sword techniques as opposed to just spitting ink everywhere. Even if watching you swamped down in black ink is a nice way to spend an afternoon."

Artemis was pleased at Xi's gratitude toward her singing, though she was surprised at the squid woman's teasing as she walked away to clean herself of the ink. Regardless, it felt appropriate to leave the newly weds to have some alone time, though she'd be sure to tease Atsuko later. She turned around to hear an entrance. "You are the one Magnus sent. Uh..." It was evident she had forgotten the name of the newcomer, and Artemis struggled to try and remember her.

"If that's the case then that does take the pressure off a bit. We will keep it simple then for now, I can certainly help you get stronger and vice versa" he said with a bit of a grin. If it wasn't actually an impromptu wedding then he didn't have to worry about his usual awkwardness, he could put himself into a different mind set and be confident with it again.
It seemed the ink was all gone for now, and the heat was starting to get to his head from what he could tell. Pulling himself out from the water he had a set of boxers still on and with a bit of flicker of chakra they were dried swiftly before he put the rests of his clothes on. When he put his heavy cloak back on from it he'd withdraw a rather standard katana, though the intricate gold designs. Even just looking at the weapon however would make one feel more at ease, more calm (chakra regeneration increased).
"I find it a bit funny, as I was planning to take my families sword to train with sometime soon. Though I doubt I would be using it in battle that frequently" he said as he drew the blade up to inspect it.
