Plus, Street Pass goes through, like, phases which depend solely on what's the newest, most popular game at the time. So, when Pokemon X first came out, Street Pass was like "Mergerd, look at all dese people playin' Pokemanz!" Now, the number of people playing that particular version is basically zero. Also, yay! I didn't expect much traffic in this thread. ^^;
See, that's the question: How well did it age? Has it withstood the test of time or are you using the power of nostalgia? I've gotten some surprised reactions to the "I've never played the original" statement. Usually along the lines of "But I thought you were all about Nintendo?" And I'm like, "Yes. I am. But when AC was a thing, I was still rocking Mariokart on the 64."
