The forest was alive with the sounds of spring..from buzzing insects to chirping birds, it was all quite grand. Hooves moving at a steady pace the pale figure gingerly pushed through the overgrown areas of the old path. It was one Clef had taken long ago as a youngster, had it truly been that long since his last journey? Perplexed the male stepped further..typically he did not venture this far from the cozy caves his little family called home. Already feeling winded his eyes swept across the path..hesitating he pressed forward..boldly moving down the path despite the growing fatigue. "If they can do it then so can I!" Words spoken aloud the wheezing stallion continued with as much gusto as he could muster up..muscles quivering like a newborn foal. At least no one was here to see him! That was what Clef clung onto for solace..he needed that even more when his body finally gave out at the end of the pathway. It led out of his families forest and opened up into a much larger area..a bigger more worn pathway where all manner of soquili traveled; including his over zealous daughter. Trying to remain positive Clef tucked his wings close and settled his shaking body against the nearest tree trunk for protection. "At least I made it this far..Ceri will be so proud next time she comes home to visit." Coughing as quietly as possible his gaze swept upwards to the gorgeous blue sky..one day he'd be able to fly again. When that day came he & Ceri had made a promise to fly together! Heart filled with joy but, eyes brimming with sadness his mind wandered to more pressing matters. How long would it be before some unsavory creature stumbled upon him like this? This was why both parental figures in his life begged that he stay within their caves where it was safe. Where nothing and no one could harm him freely..because at home his father would now be worried when he found Clef's cave empty. Mind racing the stallion suddenly struggled back to his quivering feet despite the dizziness that overtook him, he had to get back no matter what.
