Today was an adventuring day for Ambrose. He didn't care for it one bit. Adventures... well, they were things of the past. When he first left his herd, he would have loved the chance to go out and explore! But... things had changed and he was no longer the outgoing and daring stallion he used to be. It was shameful, really, but his sister cared for him as she did every Soquili that ever came into her path and he was grateful for it.
These days, he usually kept to the garden grove where Rosalyn and her family inhabited. Her family had grown again between her new set of foals and Savva and Molodoy joining the family. Ambrose was wary of the new additions for a while, but once he saw how happy Savva made Rosalyn, he couldn't find any uncertainty within him. It was good to see that she had someone to depend on these days too. Maybe... Maybe he would find someone like that...The notion of loving and flirting caused him to shudder. The last few times he tried that approach did not end well.
"Come now." He told himself aloud to shake the thoughts from his head. "You must remember what you're out here for." Rosalyn had sent him on an errand to search for a specific type of herb and see if he couldn't return with some in his maw. He couldn't recall its name, only what it looked like and that it was used for chills and fevers. His sister was expanding her natural talent for gardening, but he was happy to help her. It made him feel like he was actually doing something right for a change. So, he got back to searching, looking carefully at all the bushes passed in the woods, before he perked up his ears at a soft, yet harsh sound. Someone was coughing nearby.
Ambrose stopped where he stood and raised his head from where he was leaning over a bush. He really should mind his own business, but he had been raised as a healer, being of both unicorn and kirin blood. Surely, if there was someone sick and in need, he ought to help them somehow? He waited for another cough, but when he heard none, he tried to recall where he had heard it and attempted to track it to its source. After a moment of searching, he even decided to summon some courage and call out.
"H-hello? Is anyone there?" Maybe it was better to be direct? "I heard someone coughing over there... Are... are you alright?"
RockerWolfie1616" Sorry this took me so long!
