Aubrey had never set foot outside the long closed off courts of his kin, he was after all the third prince of half a royal line. It simply didn't do to have one's family off and gallivanting for no reason. However, Aubrey had a reason. He wanted to see the world, wanted to know those who did not live in a lap of luxury and intrigue such as himself. To understand the common of soquili kind. He longed for adventure, longed for the world beyond the walls.

And now, as he set paw down in the forested world beyond his own, he breathed in with a sigh of determination and...Sneezed. Loudly.

There was a snort and a snuff as his fore paw reached up to bat at the offending thing that made him sneeze.

His ears twitched and he righted himself to look at least somewhat regal and dashing as he padded his way forward, hopefully nothing but a few forest dwellers had seen his ridiculousness.

She'd wandered farther from the safe lands belonging to the herd she'd built. Time was what she needed most these days to think, clear her head and even search for the family she hoped had been searching for her and not given her up for dead. Long pale mane and tail flowed behind her dragging along on the forest floor adorned with red roses that looked to form a delicate scattering among her tail and a crown upon her head.

She'd changed so much over the long long years and something about her life just wasn't the same without her parents and siblings. She'd set off in search of them and had no luck so far with finding even the tiniest clue as to their whereabouts. Had they forgotten her? Or had they feared she'd perished in her own young foolishness. Frowning, she huffed a small sigh and banished these grim thoughts from her mind. She was a grandmother twice over so why was it that she felt so undeniably lost without even her own parents to share in such things?

Pressing on, she ducked her head to avoid a low hanging branch and it's reaching twigs as she passed below the tree only to pause. Something in the distance sounded like a sneeze. Looking behind her, she looked to see if magic was with her or had possibly wandered off to scout ahead some place. Seeing the dark little bear behind the drag of her tail like some sort of lady in waiting she turned a puzzled face in the direction she'd heard the sneeze. Someone else was out here. The question was were they friend or foe?

The large pawed rabbit had not noticed a change in the air, or much of anything for that matter as he continued to deal with the itch in his nose and attempt to avoid tripping over roots that seemed to insist on causing him mischief.

He was used to a much smoother pathways, well kept and paved as the place he hailed from was much less...wild. But it was all part of the experience, which was exactly what he wanted, the life outside the walls, the world beyond his own, the possibilities that ran rampant outside the domain where his family ruled.

He snorted a little to finish clearing his nose, then found he was headed into a decent sized clearing, birds and other creatures were scurrying about and he grinned to himself. It was most amusing to see how small all the wildlife was, particularly compared to himself, and he was simply an average size for his kind. He chuckled a bit, tails shifting behind him as his large paws met the grassy area, the scents here were strange, but not unpleasant, something lingered at the edge of things, making him curious, but he shook off the desire to hunt down that little tinge of scent, it was not as though it was particularly strong.

So there he was, large and somewhat terrifying by most standards chuckling to himself as a small rabbit scurried up to his legs, then screeched in terror as he was the largest rabbit eared thing it had ever seen. The poor little creature when scrambling away as soon as it realized it's error, causing Aubrey to frown, it wasn't like he was going to eat it. He might have eaten meat on occasion but he much preferred fish to rabbit. It was something that made his stomach unsettled when he thought about eating something that was so similar to himself on many levels. Perhaps akin to an act of cannibalism. He shuddered at the thought as he padded on towards the middle of the clearing.

She made her way slowly ahead. Magic was undoubtedly looking around and breaking off as she thought about pressing forward. Chancing a glance back at the bear, she caught sight of the dark tail-end of her companion pushing through some under brush. Some times it was good to have Magic around. She could scout and warn her if needs be. Lifting a small hoof, she stepped over a fallen log that was feeding new life with it's fallen corpse. 'Corpse' she thought. it was a grim description but was a fallen tree so different from the dead? Shaking her head at the darkness of her thought she made her way so that she saw the beginnings of the trees thinning. No doubt, there would be a clearing ahead and soon from the looks of things.

It was likely that she'd meet back up with Magic there. And a good thing too fore she'd need to stop for a nibble. Tree leaves were well and good but she was tired of trees.. leaves and bark alike. She'd be happy enough to return to her home where the grass was plenty and the company warm. All in good time though. She hadn't just quite given up her quest, if a quest there ever was. What new things would be awaiting her upon her return? At least Briallan and Rakshi were capable of keeping things from becoming so topsy turvy in her absence. It was nice to have some one to trust so much.

Reaching the middle of the clearing, he snuffled a bit, looking for a place to perhaps get a small sip of water to quench a sudden thirst that had arisen in his mouth. Maybe it was a reaction to the air around him, it was after all filled with things that were new and unknown.

His large ears twisted to align as he listened to the noises around him, someone was approaching. Something? Was this new arrival to be friendly? His thirst suddenly forgotten, he sat on his haunches, tails curling about him, his ears twitching to pick up more sound, the steps seemed to make little sound, a slight dragging perhaps, there were two different sounds of steps that began to sound, both light in nature. He was ever the curious type as his tails shifted with a twitch, large paws shifting in the ground.

Friend or foe? He chuckled, hoping distinctly for a friend as he felt a foe would be sorely outclassed by his size alone. A slight tingle of anticipation rose in his fur, and he gave let the somewhat fanged grin show, enjoying the small wait.

As she pressed on, she finally broke the tree line peering first up then down along the trees and sky for any sign of foes. There in the middle of all that grassy open area stood something relatively large. The sight was almost daunting. Here stood something that was near as big as her daughter's mate, if not BIGGER. She paused, staring at the figure, her ears twisting about as she waited for a sign that told her she should run. Some times the first thought wasn't always the best. After a moment of nothing happening, she stepped further from the trees and walked in the middle ground where grassy field became woods. She was still idly watching the stranger while keeping an eye out for Magic.

As though conjured by her thoughts, the little bear broke the tree line ahead of where she plodded along. With her tail in tow, she picked up her speed to meet her companion. "Magic.. what is it?" Surely she'd never seen anything like this stranger before. the sheer size alone was enough to give her pause in trying to decipher it closer.

A slight scent wafted from the woods, it was sweet, alluring...tugging at his senses just a little, but not enough yet to really pull him in the direction, he spotted a somewhat dainty creature, they were much smaller than anyone he'd met before, save for perhaps the shy pixies, they were after all hard to find and hard to spot. He sat quietly, as not to startle them, hoping his size would not deter this new found company, and perhaps they'd decide to make his acquaintance as long as he didn't do anything to scare them away.

His tails gently swayed as he carefully waited for this company to decide their next course of action, his tall rabbit ears standing quite straight and trying to hear whatever might be spoken about him.

Magic stayed betwixt and between the two as they conversed. Her eyes never left the large male as he spoke. His teeth were sharp. Just what sort of creature was this standing before them? He looked almost like a bunny-kin but again the tail, or rather tails, suggested something more feline in nature.

Shoshanna bobbed her head as she listened. "Well Sir prince," She paused at the oddity of it. She'd never before met anyone claiming the title of prince or even so much as a royal note for that matter. never the less, she sought for how to address the observation of size comparison. "I'm rather small even for those of these lands. All say for the ones with wings like an insect." Her withers gave a small movement, her version of a shrug. She exuded an air of relaxed ease as she stood speaking to the larger being. After all, it wasn't the first time she's bet some one big. Perhaps not THIS big, but still big. "It's a pleasure making your acquaintance." She offered a small smile. "My name is Shoshana, and my little friend here is Black Magic."

At mention of her name, Magic tweaked one side of her mouth up in a half smile. Still she wasn't sure about their new stranger, however for the moment he wasn't a threat. "So, You came alone?" She looked around the massive figure to indicate a lack of entourage. Perhaps this was a runaway prince? why would some one of noble birth leave otherwise unaccompanied?

Aubrey could feel the eyes of both of them looking at him in a curious manner, he nearly winced at being called 'Sir prince'. While it was his title, and it was the proper way to introduce himself as his mother would skin his hide if he did not do it properly, he didn't much care for it. He wasn't actually even in line for the throne, that was one of his cousins who was the first son of the eldest child, his father was the third in line to the crown/throne, a grand chancellor, and really everyone in his family was a prince or a princess of some sort. Their names clicked in his head and he smiled again, "A pleasure to make both of your acquaintances, and please, just call me Aubrey, Prince is a title that my mother would hate for me to forget."

His head tilted to one side at the question of coming alone, "Yes. Are there dangers here I should be wary of? My homeland is very peaceful, save for perhaps a few bad eggs poisoning someone, but for the most part there's no need for armed escorts." He was genuinely puzzled, did other elites walk around with armored guards? Could they not fend for themselves? He blinked several times, "Do those of royal blood and nobility not have capable defenses on their own?"

The scent was beginning to fog his mind a little more, as he tried to ignore it, he sat down on his haunches again, "I do wonder, since I'm new to this place, is there anything you feel I should perhaps know to avoid, or be aware of?" He trailed off, taking a large breath, "What is that scent?" He sounded genuinely puzzled, and perhaps a little tipsy, a slight blush flushing his face, pink tinged where it was more white, and purple as it progressed to the blue of his fluff.

"Is this guy for real here?" Magic howled with laughter and fell to her side. Her paws flailing as she fought to regain control of herself. It wasn't until Shoshanna had shot her a look that her laughter finally died. She was right. This really wasn't a laughing matter.

Shaking her head at Magic, she sighed. The little bear sadly had an ability tto be blunt and offensive when she wasn't careful. "Surely this is not the first lands you have visited to be plagued by Kalona or Skinwalkers?" Her tone was as serious as the look on hr face. Indeed this was no joking matter. "Physical abilities or no.. there are those who would be ill-advised to travel without a companion of some sort in hopes of warding off an attack, safety in numbers and all."

She was surprised that some place could be so free from malice and ill intent. It must have been nice to have known such peace within their lands. "At any rate, I wouldn't take lightly to wandering the woods alone without much of a care." Her tone was gentle as she spoke. "There's not many known.. nobility I suppose perhaps herd leaders but more than that these lands don't seem to have much of a call for monarchs so whether they're capable of handling themselves against an attack is beyond me." She shook her head lightly. In fact this was the first real noble she could recall ever meeting.

As he sat on his haunches, she tilted her head to the side some. "Avoid Kalona, Some can be reasoned with while most are horrible and will gladly tear into you. The Skinwalkers are more evil than even the kalona. They are nothing to take lightly. Heed those warnings, and you may yet stand a chance in these lands." As his face flushed red she stared at him long and hard. Was he ill? "That scent?" She paused with the question. "I suppose that you're smelling the roses I wear."

There was a deep frown that creased his face as the bear howled with laughter. There was a temptation to eat the little fiend who seemed to disbelieve his position, and his curiosity. It's not like he'd ever been out in their world. Who knew what went on in their world?

Controlling the reaction of his body, save for his ears flattening against his head, a dead giveaway to many of his internal turmoil when there was someone laughing at his lack of knowledge. Ignorance was never bliss. It meant you were going to get burned, and ridiculed for not being well learned of everything.

"I will keep a note of such things. Our knowledge of the world outside the place I hail from is rather lacking. Part of why I felt it would be best to get a first hand experience rather than send those less prepared into the wilds." He was the best prepared for survival, and the least important to the family line, so there was no issue in his being out in the world, even if he was doomed to a terrible death, there would be knowledge sent back through his telepathic link with his family.

An ear perked for a moment, "Roses?" That was a new flower, it smelled somewhat sweet, and entirely intoxicating, like a scent to draw in and snare the mind in...pleasure. He shook himself, "It is an enti...Lovely scent." He was about to say enticing. His mind was fuzzy, but she was delightfully sized, he could simply wrap himself around her and nibble that tiny ear of hers...he caught himself, and shoved that thought right back down into the depths of his mind.

Clearing his throat, "Perhaps you would be so kind as to allow me to accompany you both in this wild place? I seem to be rather sizable, which would provide a layer of protection for yourselves, more than sneaking carefully, in the least." He was offering his somewhat intimidating form and he also wanted to stay close to this seemingly divine lady who'd crossed his path, even if the little bear was less than cooth.
