The mare had been bulging, yet again, with the gift of foals at the hoove of the stallion that stayed near her through the entire journey. Today was the day, she could feel it within her chest as she and her family watched the baskets alongside the stallion, a pale individual in comparison to her vibrant appearance. Nokomis had appreciated his being there beyond all else, after having finally found her son she was a little on edge. Meso hadn't been what she imagined, perhaps a darker image of the foal she had anticipated. All of her worries faded away as she spied the first filly pop free from the basket.
"My goodness." She uttered the words in her softest tone, as though she'd startle the filly before her. Red-orange eyes stared at a mirrored pair with astonishment, love and admiration at the creation. "My dear.." She began, but before she could continue speaking her eyes widened as yet another of the baskets - the green one, that reminded her of freshly soaked grasses, popped open to reveal another filly.
The green filly was free. Carefully, a little nervous on her hooves, she tossed her pale mane and flicked her tail - the breeze she felt stung a little on her eyes, but a few blinks of her big blues allowed some relief. It also cleared her vision and after she stretched her twin pair of wings she smiled, made a small, fond sound and stepped forward, towards the two she figured were her parents. The pale stallion made sense, the female as well, but who was the other? Her big eyes stared up at the three figures before the baskets with a mix of awe and fear. Then she glanced back at her sibling and scooted towards her and their sibling-basket.
"Are you going to have all fillies, Mom?" The other male spoke. His tone was deep, carried and could be imagined as what a creaking tree may sound like just before it fell. Strong, healthy and filled with secrets. "I'd only be so lucky." The mare teased him lightly and shouldered his shoulder at attempt for a smile. Meso was astonished that there was so much white before him, but he felt a bloom of pride at the way his mothers colors accented the pair of fillies, the third basket was just as promising.

He was familiar with Meso, Nokomis's son, though he didn't try to impose himself in the young males life. he had come into the picture well after he was an adult so really he was just an extra body that was providing his mother with more kids.
Watching Nokomis's reaction as the first basket popped he couldn't help but smile and feel a sense of pride swell within him as the second basket popped, another filling springing forth into the world. He was a father of two beautiful fillies. Each of them seemed to encompass both of them wonderfully and he couldn't help but flutter his wings nervously.
"They're so beautiful." He breathed out softly, almost afraid to speak as he watched them.
Zaria watched as her green sister came forth and beamed happily. She wasn't alone anymore! Not that she was really alone to begin with. It's just everyone else was so big, she wanted someone more her size in the picture and it seemed she wasn't going to have to wait long. Giving a look towards Meso she cocked her head curiously and looked at him. He had said something to the Mare, had called her mom. Was that her mother? It had to be, there were no other adult females around. So was that her brother?
She began to notice then, that there was some difference between three of the five that were currently standing. Her and her father had claws on their front legs while the rest didn't. Looking at her feet she looked at her sisters feet and then back again. "They're different." She exclaimed, the words just kind of finding themselves tumbling forth from her mouth.
Kiviuq watched very happily as another filly popped forth into the world, while he wasn't saying anything he was betting the third was going to be a filly as well. He wasn't going to tell Astraeus that, poor guy. He could only imagine what it must be like to have to be a father to all females. Males always seemed to be easier to care for, in his opinion when it came down to it. "Well my old friend, it seems you're starting to have quite the wonderful looking family on your hooves." He beamed at the stallion.
Astraeus smiled towards the bird and looked back towards Nokomis and Meso. "This is all so exciting, I'm glad you could be here with us." He said to her son proudly.

Ears twitched as the little foal lay still inside her basket, the warmth from being curled up could easily lull her back to sleep if the noise would deafen even a little bit. The noise, however, did not cease but instead grew louder as more company was added to the mix. Frowning in frustration, the little white filly kicked her legs about causing her basket to totter back and forth aggressively.
Why won’t the noise stop, I am comfortable for goodness sakes!!!
Ruffling feathers and wings, Urjawen couldn’t take any more of the noise and kicked about a bit harder in anger, toppling her basket over and allowing her brilliant white and golden body to tumble out in a manner most appalling. Her white and gold locks were strewn all about unceremoniously, ears tilted back as her body hunched over- Looking at her closely would even reveal what would appear to be one hell of a sour expression- What a way to be exposed to the world!
Snorting loudly to push the hair from her face, scarlet eyes were uncovered with a rather brilliant glare attached. Those same eyes took in her surroundings, aggravation apparent as she noticed the family all seemed to be full of bright cheery smiles and awestruck expressions. Urjawen frowned deeper before deciding to stand up, legs wobbling from the weight of her body- checking her feet out below her she nodded ever so slightly and attempted her first step, toppling over almost immediately.
Had the little one known how to swear there surely would have been several curses in the air, but presently she lacked that knowledge and instead found herself kicking her legs about again before finally rolling over.
She’d stand, oh she absolutely would, after all her siblings could do it so why couldn’t she? Slowly rising on wobbly legs, Urja let herself find her center of gravity before attempting to move one of her legs. This time, much to her surprise, she kept herself standing. Perking her ears up, a grin started to form on her face as she moved forward again, then again… Soon she found herself close to the gathering of siblings and parents.
Stopping abruptly, Urjawen wobbled in place before finally steadying herself, she had bigger fish to fry- All those noisy family members of hers! Stomping a foot to the ground she stared up at the sage green stallion, Meso with a giant, comical glare on her face.
“LOUD!”
Shoving her face into the poor stallion, she unknowingly poked him with her horn before proceeding to move towards her siblings with the same sort of expression on her face. “LOUD!!!” Stomping off towards her father and Kiviuq Urjawen was about to shout at them as well but fell silent when she caught sight of Astraeus’ large talons. Her sister has talons, but not huuuuuuuuuge talons. Eyes bulged as she attempted to step back in shock only to find her balance again in jeopardy. Wobbling to and fro Urja closed her eyes as gravity took her to the ground with a loud THUMP and a squeak of shock.
“N-NOO!!!”

Nokomis wasn't alarmed by the rough and tumble mannerisms of the newest edition to their grown family. Instead she smiled, choked back laughter and shook her wings a small amount as the filly 'attacked' each target and finally grew silent at her father. The mare remained silent the whole way through, knowing full well the filly would calm herself eventually, but Astraeus stepped in verbally and offered some soothing words - perhaps she was a little to focused on independence? Now was not the time to challenge her mothering ability.
Instead she chose to look towards a very startled appearing Meso who seemed about to burst.
Meso exchanged a look with his mother that was akin to 'what the ********?', but he didn't spout a single word. Instead he snorted softly at his annoyance of the attack and raised a brow at the rambunctious youth that had made leaps and bounds in her walking, considering how she had struggled with her first steps. "Quiet." He mumbled at her 'loud' comment, but it was a little late as she discovered something else to pique her interests - clawed feet seemed to be the topic that drove her to silence. Impressive.
"All the better to cut you with.." He grumbled, his darker side coming to light, but he saved his comment for himself - muttering it beneath his breath. He'd never harm them, but he'd seen his fair share of the dark side of life - enough to test his patience with such innocence laid before him. One day he may lay some of his history on these foals, if he could ever get them alone (or perhaps his mother wouldn't ever allow that to happen). "What are their names?" He finally asked, speaking in an audible tone towards his Mother and the foals Father.
"Whaaaaat are you screaming about?!" The green filly asked in a dragged out tone that was lazily shouted towards the filly verbally assaulting the grown ups. She recognized the other as her sister, but still didn't understand the context - they hadn't been that loud.. or had they?
"Whoa."
She said quietly, mostly to herself, as she made the connection between their father and sister. "Those feets." She said, growing just as wide eyed as her sibling. Then she peered at her own hooves briefly in wonder.
