An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away (H + Rodney)

After showering in the still-bare bathroom (at least they had hot water),
and having an oatmeal breakfast, Rodney wrapped the apple in cloth and pocketed it.

Mik and Malk were never up very early.

He was worried, if he was honest.

He must have been doing something very, very wrong. It seemed like he always was. He debated texting Lawrence, and decided against it. He just...needed time. And right now, there were very few people he could think of to talk to about it. So instead, he went to see if the Doctor was In.

The doctor wasn't in that day, or the next. The news of Atlantis had spread quickly around the island, and one could hardly turn a corner without hearing speculation. It takes a couple weeks, in the end, for a sympathetic tech to send Rodney a notice that H had returned to the island. In that time, the apple remained perfect and shining.

If Rodney chose to visit once more, he'd find the door open, the doctor at his desk.
